Indy, Indy... INDY!!!!

JOB is gone and the Pacers have won 4 in a row with their new head coach. Last time these two teams met, the Pacer blew the Heat out of the water in South Beach. Can they do it again? The Pacers definitely have the talent to upset the better teams in the NBA. Just ask the LA Lakers! They seem to always have trouble with this team, like Boston and Atlanta. I expect this to be a good game, and not LIKE A BOSH.

The Heat haven't been to shabby as of late as they are winners of 6 in a row. Lebron's been good and so has Wade, while 3rd amigo Bosh has not played well because of that nasty ankle injury. The Heat will need their A game to beat the Pacers tonight.

Our Prediction:

Looking for the upset, I see the Pacers riding this streak to 5! Miami will do it "LIKE A BOSH"

Pre-Game Analysis:

Another battle in Florida

Well Well, yet another game in Florida as the Magic and the Heat battle again for the 3rd time this season. Things have changed. There's no VC, Gortat, Pietrus, and Lewis but now there's JRich and Arenas. The Magic however haven't been the same after that trade. Arenas' knees are hurting and D-12 doesn't have a backup. I can totally see the Heat taking advantage of that. I see early foul trouble for D-12.

LeBron has been doing a lot of talking about the Magic since the Magic have been talking a lot about him so I can see the King really taking his frustration out on the team. Bosh and Wade will back him up, but yeah, Bosh is indeed a 'Fake Tough Guy'. Maybe even a 'Fake Big Man'.

CDTF Key Matchup

J-Rich vs. D.Wade - So, J Rich was suppose to be the one that would hit those clutch shots in the end and fire away 3 bombs, but he's been alright. J Rich hasn't been putting up better numbers than VC, but maybe his long range shooting can sink the Heat. Wade has been torching opponents lately and JRich will have a hard time cooling him down. Maybe a feel dunks will fire him up!

CDTF Keep Your Eye On

The Magic don't really have a backup for D-12 and Bass may not play. So I'm sure the Heat will go after him with Big Z, Anthony, Juwan Howard, Bosh, heck why not Eddie House... Frustrating D-12, putting him on the line or getting him into foul trouble will be the key for the Heat's victory.

8 More games until the Heat can max out at 60 wins.

Our Prediction:

Going to be a tough one, but the Magic just have too many holes after the trade.

Post Game Comments:

One Man Show... That's all I have to say... LBJ exploded for 51, which literally saved the Heat since Wade got hurt and Bosh was a non factor! Maybe Bosh was so happy that he made it to the All-Star reserves, but decided to play this game "Like A Bosh"!

Better luck next time Magic! Should they consider starting Arenas and playing Duhon as the backup?

KD vs. LBJ! This will be a good one

So who's going to show up on sunday? Bosh? Wade? Who knows... Seems like only LBJ is healthy these days. We shall see because unlike the Raptors and Pistons, the Thunder have 3 big scorers on their team that will blow the Heat out of South Beach. So Bosh and Wade better be healthy or else this is going to be a no contest.

CDTF Key Matchup

Kevin Durant vs. Lebron James - So, the two best scorers in the league will go head to head and KD is obviously starting to take over LeBron's status. Eventually KD will be the one winning all the scoring titles and MVP awards, and probably more rings than him. If LeBron is on his own, watch out. KD might drop 40 on you! He'd probably do it if Wade/Bosh was in the game too.

CDTF Keep Your Eyes On...

Anyone hear of a player named Russell Westbrook? The 3rd year PG has been lights out this year and has started to eat into Jeff Green's points. The Heat better keep an eye on this guy and not just Durant. Though the Thunder are similiar to the Heat. 3 great scorers and nothing much other than that.

Our Prediction:

This will be close if Bosh and Wade are playing, but if one is missing, i'm giving this one to the Thunder!

Post Game Comments:

The Heat got lucky since they got their 3 stars back. OKC basically has the same formula as the Heat. Our best three vs. your best three. Oh well, the rematch we just be even sweeter!

Pre-Game Analysis:

Turn off the lights, the party's over

The Heat are enjoying some much needed rest as they will have 4 days off before facing the Knicks at MSG. Last time they were there, the shower of boos came down on LeBron James, but he answered back with a triple double! YIKES! So what are the NY fans going to do this time? Maybe they should chant, "We Want Melo" *Clap, Clap, clap clap clap*. Melo is for sure going to New York now that the Nets are no longer pursuing him. That was your mistake Denver. Anyways, back to the cHEAT.

So after the Karma quote, the Heat are 4-1, but that 1 doesn't really count cause it was the Craptors (even though there was no Bosh and Wade). The Heat will most likely get their 2 stars back in action (4 days is a lot to rest an ankle and knee/illness). The Knicks better be ready for them this time. I'm looking at you Raymond Felton! Felton has totally disappointed, but Amare hasn't. If the Knicks can get everyone on board, things might be very, very tough for LeBron and company. Oh and Mike Miller, don't expect to poor in that many points ever again.

CDTF Key Matchup

Wilson Chandler vs. LeBron James - Chandler has been having a steady year with increased 3s/blocks/points/minutes. He has been decent against the Heat, but i'm looking for him to have a breakout game along with Felton. The Knicks cannot bow down to the King and the Heat so look for Chandler to put on his Triple A game and school LeBron. I'm hoping that ankle will bother LeBron enough for Chandler to take advantage!

CDTF Keep Your Eye On...

How will Wade and Bosh respond after a game off (Bosh x 2). Rust may be a factor, but I'm pretty sure Wade won't lose his step. Bosh on the other hand will have a hard time slowing down Amar'e so i don't see him being affective at all. Stay Tuned folks. Long way to go until Thursday!

Our Prediction:

Knicks for the win! 3rd time is a charm!

Post Game Comments:

Not a good night in the office

The Knicks finally beat the Heat as they took this one 93 - 88 as the King missed 17 shots from the field (OUCH!). D-Wade was back after a one game absense and he sportes some cool shades because he has had migraine headaches. Maybe he just wanted to compete with Amar'e as to who's protective lens were better. Seems like Wade didn't lose a step though having a monster game, but it would appear that Wade/LeBron were really missing Bosh. Bosh is a week or two away from coming back. And where was Mike Miller, the 4th Heatle? No where to be found that's where. Like i said, that game against the Raptors was a fluke!

Chandler didn't seem to have much success against the Heat again which is pretty sad. Same with Felton. The Heat really know how to shut them down. Good thing Gallinari showed up to the garden ready and willing as he aided Amar'e and the gang with a nice victory.

So after a long wait, the Heat have 3 games in 4 days. Let's see how they manage against these 3 teams without Bosh or more!

Pre-Game Analysis:

Raptors ready to bite back on the Heat/Bosh?

Well, well, well, The Raptors are back in south beach and guess what, both teams are hurting bad. The Raptors have a ton of injuries (Evans/Peja/Barbosa) and have players who are not 100% (Barg/Calderon/Bayless/Amir). The same could be said with the Heat, Bosh - ankle, Lebron - ankle, Wade - knee, Chamlers - ankle, Haslem - surgery. Bosh got hurt against the Bulls on a play that he said Hustle shouldn't be allowed if his legs were at risk and it doesn't look like he will face his old team for the 2nd time this season. Could you imagine if it was in TO! The CROWD all ready to boo his ass and he's sitting on the bench with a suit on. That would have stung! Can't wait until Feb! BOOOO VC/Hedo/T-Mac/Camby/Damon Style!

Alright, let's get down to business. The Heat are losers of 4 straight games after the karma quote, but will the bleeding stop on saturday against the Raptors? The Raptors have played much better, dispite all the injuries, but if the Heat have at least 2 of the 3 Miami Thrice players in the lineup, they should win, although they have shown that 2/3 Heatles just doesn't cut it. CDTF is hoping only 1 can play.

CDTF Key Matchup

Jose Calderon vs. Miami's PG - Since Calderon has come back from his injuries, he has been a force on the assists column averaging over 10 assists in the month of January. Though he had a donut in his last game against New Orleans and CP3, I fully expect this Rajon Rondo Assist pace to continue. He's really finding his teammates and helping the Raptors at least stay close in games. last time he played against the Heat, he only had 2 assists, but Jack was still on the team, so things will be different. I don't see the Heat having an answer for him, unless Wade or James covers him (which is possible).

CDTF Keep Your Eye On - Ed Davis has been playing really well in the last few games. With all the injuries and the foul trouble Amir is always getting into, he has seen lots of PT. This person thinks Ed Davis is 2 years away from being good, like Camby-lite good. He has the same elements that Camby had in TO, so maybe the Raptors have someone to play C for Bargnani and push him to PF and then he can channel his Dirk powers!

Our Prediction:

Raptors were close last time. 9 points. Will the new look Raptors be better without a Bosh-less Heat? It will be close, but i can't see the Raptors winning. At least someone's 4 game losing streak is going to end... Oh Wait.. the raptors play 2 games before this one.. Still, probably means someone is going to break their losing streak :p

Post Game Comments:

No Bosh, No Wade.. NO PROBLEM!

2 of the 4 Heatles were absent against the Raptors, but one forgotten Heatle dominated the game as the Heat snap their 3 game losing streak, but extend the Raptors losing streak to 7. M&M (Mike Miller) came up with an amazing performance scoring 32 points, much like what Wade would have done if he was in the game. Totally the X-Factor in this game because coming into this game, he only scored a combine 15 points! He was totally the forgotten Heatle. Poor Raptors... Just not their night, esp since they were without so many bodies (Evans, Kleiza, Weems). Better luck next time.

Jose Calderon had a better night and a much stronger showing than in Orlando getting another double double and overshadowing Mario Chalmers who saw extended minutes and a crack at the starting lineup. In the end he is better than Arroyo, since he can run with the Heat. Too bad it wasn't enough. At least I predicted later on Twitter after i saw Wade went down that DeRo would score 30+! Just got that on the money.

Finally, our X-Factor, Ed Davis had an impressive showing.. 29 minutes for the big man and he grabbed 10 boards with 6 points, but no blocks (It could be because the cHeat were taking a lot of jump shots). He's getting there, two more years I say :)

Oddly enough, the Raptors are now 13-31, while the Heat are 31-13.

Next up is the Knicks and wouldn't they want to get a chance to play 1 Heatle and Ringo Star (M&M) instead of all of them.

Pre-Game Analysis:

Two Heat players down, but will one come back?

So, after the crushing loss to the Bulls yesterday, the Heat suffered two big blows to their Big 3 with Bosh going down with his own sprained ankle. So that leads Wade being the only healthy superstar on this team. Drag :) LeBron could come back and face the Hawks on tuesday but that is really up in the air. Bosh seems doubtful, but for sure both of these guys will be a GTD on Tuesday, and the Heat sure need them to play or else they are dead meat.

If you have noticed during the Heat's amazing 12 game win streak and crazy December to Rememeber, the Heat were playing at full strength (minus Miller/Haslem of course), but I meant the Big 3 were all healthy. In November, there were talks of small injures to Wade/Bosh/LeBron that maybe could have led to those losses? Now the injures are back and they are hurting them big. The Heat would be happy to see a team like Washington Tuesday, but they got the Hawks, who are seriously out for revenge!

Last time these two teams met, the Heat destroyed the Joe Johnson-less Hawks. But guess what, JJ is back and he is 100%, so this could be bad news for the Heat if LeBron and/or Bosh cannot suit up. If LeBron plays and Bosh doesn't we will get our first glimpse of how Wade/LeBron can gel and guide this team. It would be interesting because these two are such ball hogs and controlling that I could see a MJ/Isiah episode going on! The Hawks will put on a good show and will make sure this game won't be easy for the Heat to win.

CDTF Key Matchup

Joe Johnson vs. Dwayne Wade - So, JJ wasn't there last time, but he is now. Showing that he is back to his old self, Wade might have to do it all if he's without his super friends. The last time we saw Wade trying to do it himself, they were one of the worst NBA teams in the league. Obviously, 1 man cannot beat an entire team (Wait.. forgot about Kobe and his 82!), but Wade is not about to drop 80+ on an NBA team. Anyways, JJ will provide the much needed offense that the Hawks lacked the first time they met, so I'm looking forward to JJ putting the Heat on ICE!

CDTF Keep Your Eye On... Super sub Jamal Crawford has been lights out again this season, but when the Raptors threw out a Zone D on the Hawks, they just didn't know how to score anymore. So watch out for 20+ points from Craw and whether or not NBA teams will continue to throw Zone D at the Hawks. Maybe that is their weakness and preventing them from being a super elite team :p

Our Prediction:

Hawks will take this one and tie the series at 1s

Post Game Comments:

This game was UGLY! Both teams were ice cold and sloppy in the 1st half making the score 35-34. It was a better contest in the 2nd half going into overtime with the Hawks eventually handing the Heat another L.

Lebron coming back after injury had a good game over all but shot terribly going 11-30 and dishing out 6 TOs. Wade had a good game himself and with the other guys actually stepping up, Bosh's contribution wasn't missed as much as with out Lebron. However, Joel Anthony did help the Heat the most by taking out Al Horford (ankle) who's been having a beastly season so far and looks like a lock to go into the All Star game again.

LBJ's terrible shooting was met by JJ and J.Smoove which is why the game was so close, but the bench play is what determined this game in the end. Crawford had another great night showing us why he won the 6th man award last year, and the Hawks were backed up by Mo Evans especially in OT.

The Heat have now lost 4 in a row and are now at 13 losses, officially bringing us into the 60 win category. 10 more losses to go to see you at 59... With that said.. Guess who predicted a 70-12 win season for the Heat?

Pre-Game Analysis:

LeBron... Likes to hear the Boos

The Heat have had an interesting few days. First LeBron tweets about the Cavs crazy 50+ point loss to the Lakers about KARMA. Then they lose to the Clippers and sprains his ankle. Then they get destroyed by Denver. Yikes! Karma really does bite you back. I hope you've learned your lesson LeBron. Just shut up and play basketball. Let Ron Ron do all the contraversial talking.

So, LeBron has 2 days to rest his ankle so he can face the Bulls who have beat the Celtics not too long ago. The Bulls were one of the teams recruiting LeBron and Wade and failed at getting both of them. Do i sense boos at LeBron in the United Centre just like at MSG? For sure... but don't forget, the Bulls have a man name Carlos Boozer, so the boos might be for him. Were you saying Boo or Boozer? Remember what happen at MSG when they Boo'ed LeChicken? The man collected a triple double with 32 points! DAMN! If LeBron plays on Saturday and he gets booed, watch out Chicago. Maybe you guys should keep your mouth quiet!

One player who i'm sure is looking forward to this game is D.Rose. The man is playing like an MVP, and he could be an MVP some day. This guy has probably heard enough about LeBron, the Decision, and the Miami Thrice. It's time to play ball and beat the Heat. At least he has backup with Boozer, but it would have been nice if Noah was on the court with them. There would have been some crazy fireworks going if that happened. I'm pretty sure D.Rose has something to prove to LeBron for not joining him, but that probably helped him develop his game. Remember T-Mac going to Orlando with Hill going down???

CDTF Key Matchup

Carlos Boozer vs. Chris Bosh - So, Bosh put up some Raptor like points against Denver without LeBron, but can he handle the Booz? Remember when these guys were on the US National Team, and Bosh totally outplayed Boozer in that tournament. I wonder if we can say the same thing now. Boozer is much bigger than Bosh and Bosh now plays PF. Boozer will have a nice time taking care of business, while Bosh will be struggling to find the buckets in the paint and settling for jumpers. Boozer will add more fuel to this losing streak!

CDTF Keep your eye on... The X-Factor, Luol Deng, will need to add some points to the scoreboard to combat with the Miami Thrice. The Big 3 have used a formula where they outscore the entire team. If LeBron can't go, then who's going to help Wade and Bosh (The Real Batman and Robin duo). If Deng can throw some daggers into the Heat's hearts then we'll see the losing streak go to 3!

Our Prediction:

As Chuck Swirsky would say.... You can get out the salami and cheese mama... This ball game is over! BULLS WIN... BULLS WIN!

Post Game Comments:

Another game without LeBron, same result... A LOSS!

So, LeBron didn't have time to recover for this game and guess what, the Heat got edged by the Bulls and they have now lost 12 games in a row. I guess the Heat really miss LeBron. Does this mean he truly is the MVP of this team? I wonder what will happen if Wade or Bosh go down...

In any case, I really thought Bosh would excel without LeBron, but he didn't do as well as i thought. In the two games that LeBron has been out, he has been a subpar. The points are there, but what about the rebounding? Seriously, have you really forgotten how to rebound, or does it say that Bosh is not a good rebounder period. Good luck averaging 10 rebounds. Maybe having Bargnani as a teammate made him look like a good rebounder. Oh well, at least Boozer didn't do that well either. It was all Derrick Rose tonight and the first time in a while that a PG played well against the Heat.

So 3 losses in a row and maybe more. The Hawks are up next and if James is not ready to go, what will the Heat do? I guess they are waiting for another sub par 500 team to face them in order to get wins. Again, it's time to see if the Heat are for real and if they can play through these injures!

Pre-Game Analysis:

KARMA's A WHAT??? A SPRAINED ANKLE?

So the countdown is finally at 0 and Karma has started biting back at LeBron? What's next for the Heat? Tas Melas of "The Basketball Jones" predicted a 70-12 Heat record, so we will work with that for now, but please, vote now if you think the Heat will win 60 games this year. I think that is a more realistic poll for them. The Bulls record will be untouchable!!!!

You have to admit that the Heat supply us with lots of fun, laughter, and tons of material to make fun of. LeBron and Bosh have done their fair share of giving the media lots of things to talk about. Too bad Wade is not that talkative. Maybe because he is the South Beach Hero. Always have and always will be. He is the one that will win no matter what happens. Too bad he had to have LeBron tarnish his image.

So with that said, the Heat quickly fly to Denver to face the "Indecision" Nuggets and Melo. LeBron will be a Game Time Decision, but I can see him pussying out this game because he "Doesn't have to be a hero in the Regular Season". Guess what, you weren't even a hero in the Playoffs with the Cavs! BURN! Melo and the gang have been really distracted with the trade talks so this is going to be a close battle. None-the-less, like B.Diddy, Melo is not a guy that will take the Heat lightly and will want to prove to them that building a Big 3 without him was a big mistake! Also, the Nuggets are coming off a thrashing of the Suns, so there will be some blood spilled.

CDTF Key Matchup

Melo vs. LeBron - Although Lebron may not be playing tonight, Melo will go toe to toe against the King. Melo will continue his strong play even if LeBron plays or not. He can score in bunches, but no one is going to stop him from showcasing to the Nets or Knicks as to why they should do whatever it takes to get him. Melo for the Win!

CDTF Keep Your Eye On... If LeBron doesn't play, watch out for the Wade and Bosh combo, the combo i predicted to be in Miami Heat without Lebron. These two would have been an amazing force without Lebron and they will do well tonight. LeBron should have just went to NY or Chicago, but he was too chicken. One day, the untradeable will be traded as Riley will see that Wade + Bosh + 2/3 role players (that equal LeBron's salary) would have been the better choice!

Our Prediction:

Denver will keep this game close and pull it out in OT, MELO STYLE!

Post Game Comments:

Right now Dan Gilbert is on his Twitter telling Lebron that Karma IS a b****, and that Lebron can go suck it. Tonight the Nuggets came to play, and once the 2nd quarter came by they blew the game right open, and the game hit an early garbage time when Denver extended the lead to 30 pts.

The Heat hurt badly without the presence of LBJ. The shots and playmaking of Bron just could not be made up by this Heat team. Also Bosh and Wade got extra attention from the Denver D. All this on top of playing a back to back.

The Nuggets got a good contribution from the entire team with 7 players in double digits and 31 assists overall. With the 4th quarter being a wash, the circus came to town with the Nuggets bench show boatin and J.R. bringing out one of his classic performances raining 3s and throwin up some crazy shots.

Back to back losses, and possibly more to come with the Bulls and Hawks coming up next. !!! MIAMI LOSES !!!

So what does this mean for the Heat? They play their first game with LeBron and they get destroyed by a good west team. Does this mean that the Heat really need LeBron? Not necessarily. Like we've said all along, if LeBron never came to Miami and Riley used his money to sign 2 solid players, the Heat would probably be just as good and Wade/Bosh would be playing on an even higher level. To be honest, I enjoy Wade and Bosh playing together. They complement each other. When LeBron joined the party, he just became a third wheel. I guarantee this relationship will go sour in the future!

Miami Heat, Meet Blake Griffin, the Human dunking machine

Miami Heat is fresh off another OT win in Portland and they try to tie their franchise road win record of 14. What's stopping them? Blake Griffin. The number 1 pick in '09 has amazed us with his thunderous dunks and tenicious basketball. Griffin will definitely be considered the 2011 ROY and he will get his first taste of the Heatles. How will the Heatles stop this monster. Good Luck Bosh and Big Z!

Griffin has a lot of help as well. He has the young stud of Eric Gordon who has emerged as the 2nd scorer now that B.Diddy has fizzled. Also, with Kaman down, DeAndre Jordon has played very well filling in the 5 spot. The Heat will be a bit weary when they go to the basket with this man roaming around the paint. Nobody likes to get embarassed with a block in the NBA and when players know that there's a shot blocker present, they tend to shy away from the drive or the blocker alters their shot. I see many challenges by LeBron and Wade, but let's see how many times they get stuffed. Remember how the Heat had so many problems when they became a jump shooting team. Let's see if that happens on Wednesday. All the power to you DeAndre.

CDTF Key Matchup

Eric Gordon vs. D-Wade - Gordon will need to step up big in order to allow the Clips to hand the Heat a loss. Over the pass few games, the number 2/3 options have played well over the course of the season, but for some reason fizzles when they face the Heat. Gordon is a sharp shooter and has great passing abilities and average D, but can he stop the Flash? The Flash's averages are pretty much the same as last year, so that tells you a lot. That's he's the man! Tough matchup, but D-Wade will get the nod here.

CDTF Key Your Eye On... Please don't forgot B.Diddy in this game. He's a ferious competitior and he won't let the South Beach band come to his hometown and act like Kings. Look for him to frustrate the Heatles to throw them off their game.

Our Prediction:

Can the Clips pull an upset? This man thinks so. Griffin POWER!

Post Game Comments:

HEAT LOSE!!!!!!!!! KARMA IS DEFINITELY A B****!!!!!

!!! 0 !!!! "Crazy. Karma is a b****." The topper, LBJ hurts his ankle getting REJECTED on the way to the rim.

The Clippers who are on a bit of a role with their wins in previous games against Denver and GS, opened up huge against the Heat with a 44 point 1st quarter. The Heat gradually climbed back and got this game close in the 3rd quarter, but were never able to take the lead.

Miami's Super Friends on the scoreboard had their best showing of the year posting a combined 84 pts between them. However, the other guys were ice cold going 8-25.

The Clips who've been getting good contributions from their top 3 (Super Rookie Blake, E.Gordon, and B.Diddy) stuck with the same formula and combined for 70 pts. Also the rest of the team was shooting well and played a much better team game. Although Griff didn't dunk on LeBron, a Clipper win is just as good!

So there we go Jeff Van Gundy, Miami Thrice will not be winning more games than the 95-96 Bulls as they already have lost 10 games, which would mean they can only tie that record. STILL, it means they are not breaking any bulls record this year :) As for that 33 game win streak, well there's still a shot with 42 games left in the season but that's more or less a pipe dream.

Thank you Jeff Van Gundy for supplying us with a goal and idiotic predictions.... Next time, we should put some money on it. CDTF Leaves you with this!

Pre-Game Analysis:

Yet another unlucky 13

So, the last time the Heat were going for a 13 game win streak of some sort, the Mavs took them to school and handed them a big loss. This time, the Heat are going after a 13 game road win streak in Portland. The Trail Blazers are having an OK season this year, esp with the loss of Brandon Roy and Greg Oden to serious injures. The Blaze are 20-17 so they aren't a sub 500 team that the Heat will have an easy time to feast on. The big reason for this is the surgence of Aldridge being the number 1 star now and the sharp-shooting Wesley Matthews.

So, the Trail Blazers are a team with a really good backcourt and we know what happens when the Heat plays a big front court that can defend. Although since they have inserted Big Z in the starting lineup, they have played much better, but Camby and Ald will cause a lot of problems for Bosh and Big Z, both on the D and O end. Ald has cut Bosh up into pieces in the past and i expect that to continue.

CDTF Key Matchup

LaMarcus Aldridge vs. Chris Bosh - So, how is the number 1 option going to do on Sunday against the Big Bosh Man? Looking at the stats, these guys have had great battles in the limitted matchups. Bosh has produced great numbers against Portland and Ald and so has Ald, but this time, Ald is the number 1 option so points and rebounds are going to be much higher. Look for Ald to stuff it into Bosh's face and hand the Heat their 10th loss.

CDTF Keep your eye on...

The X-Factor, Wesley Matthews has been lights out every since Roy went down with his injury. Almost averaging 20 points per game since being a starter in Portland, the Jazz should have matched that offer. Anyways, if Matthews can drop 30 or maybe 40 on the Heat, there could be trouble with Heat. Look at CDR and the game with the Bucks, poured in 30 and caused tons of problems for the Heat. As long as the Trail Blazers can figure a way to outscore the big 3, they will be fine.

Our Prediction:

Portland has played better as of late and I'm looking for a big win and fireworks to go off for the 10th Miami Heat loss

Post Game Comments:

Fireworks not quite yet

Yet another OT win for the Heat and this time they broke the curse of 13 by beating the TrailBlazers 107-100. The Heatles - Miller poured in a combined 96 points, which is 4 points less than the TrailBlazers' total. Very impressive I must say. I was right that Aldridge had an amazing game finishing with 31 points, 14 rebs, 7 asts 2 stls, and a block. But what about my X-Factor Matthews.. Another disappointment that's for sure. 14 points and 6-20 shooting. He needs to get at least 20-30 to drown the Heat scoring. Batum helped a bit but it wasn't enough. Who's going to stop the Heat now? They look unstoppable! Maybe Blake Griffin can dunk his way past the Heat on Wednesday in another Western Showdown

Nice to see you again Bucks

The Miami Heat, fresh off a whooping of the Bucks will face them again on a Home/Home series, this time in Wisconsin. Do you really expect anything different from the last game they played? I don't. Sure teams can make adjustments, but again, the Bucks are just outmanned. They don't have the fire power to stay with the Heat and the defensive tactics to stop the 3 Heatles (Sorry Mike Miller, you don't deserve to be a Heatle. You can't even score!)

So how will the Big Three run the game this time? Last time they almost beat the Bucks themselves, but I think this time they won't have so many points. Anything can happen in a single NBA game, but yeah, my money is on the Heat again :( SAD!

CDTF Key Matchup

Salmons vs. LBJ - Seems like Salmons has taken over the Bucks as the number one scorer now that Jennings is down. Him and James did the majority of the scoring for both teams and I fully expect this to continue on Friday. Salmons is definitely not Lebron, but maybe he can give some type of chance for the Bucks.

CDTF Key Your Eye On ...

Can the Miami Thrice beat the Bucks by themselves? Last time they were close, but it could be possible they can outscore the other team? Maybe one day. Anyways, we will wait to see what happens when the Heat start playing against better competition.

Our Prediction:

Same as last time, this game is going to the Heat

Post Game Comments:

OH MY GOODNESS !!! Tonight was almost the night we saw the countdown go to 0. The game started off worse than their game 3 days before, but then a spark hit the Bucks and they turned up their D to maximum. The Bucks brought out the Scott Skiles defense and took it to the Heat for the next 3 quarters of regulation. The shooting by the Super Friends was attrocious with all of them combining for 18-58 shots from the field, most of which were well contested shots.

Milkwaukee was on FIRE until the 4th quarter came around, and then they became the team we've become used to seeing this season. They just couldn't make any buckets. At the end of the 4th and in OT the Bucks just could execute anything on the offense. And one major mental lapse by Mbah a Moute gave Bosh an easy free throw put back that could have changed the outcome.

The Heat start off a 5 game road trip with a very shaky game, and will be heading out west against some tough teams. Next week feels like a good week for the big 0.

Pre-Game Analysis:

Sorry y'all. This will be a short post. Back to backs are always killer.

The Bucks again face the Heat and another sub 500 team to feast on. Jennings isn't back yet and the Bucks are without Gooden, so I don't see the Heat having any problems with this one. Maybe Dooling/Boykins can muster up some of that magic as of late and blow the Heat out, but I've noticed that the Heat have done an excellent job shutting down the other team's PG!

Our Prediction:

I'm going to have to say "The Heatles" will take this one.

Post Game Comments:

Yawn... Heatles, your music and hits are boring

Same old song as the Miami Heat teased their opponents again, only to destroy them in the end. The funny thing is that the starting 5 have basically scored all their points. It begs to question if 3 players can beat an entire NBA team night in and night out. 78 points was the number tonight and that's only 10 less points then the Bucks total score + the big 3 rested for the last two minutes. I guess that's Spolestra's and the Heatles' new strategy. Anyways, nobody thought the Bucks would win anyways without Jennings. Better luck next time.

So, how has the 4th Heatle faired this year? That's right... Mike Miller... 6 games in and he's only made 1 basket. WOW! Really.. the 4th HEATle? Maybe Big Z should be on that T-Shirt instead of Miller Time. Time to grow your hair back so you can really look like Ringo!

The Heat will go to Cheese Town to face the bucks again on a home/home matchup.

Pre-Game Analysis:

Just Another Southeast Battle

The Bobcats will host the 26-9 Miami Heat in Charlotte and avenge their 6 point loss back in November. At that time, the Cats were coached by Larry Brown, but NO MORE. Paul Silas is in and he's injected a new attitude and mind set that has gotten the young blood flowing in his players and they have responded. 2-1 since Silas has entered, he has given new hope to DJ Augustin and Action Jackson as they have retooled their game as of late. They were struggling bad for a while, but Silas has corrected that. Hopefully it will be enough against the Heat who have trashed teams below 500 all season.

The Heat continue to stop the bleeding of the countdown and keep it at bay with 1 to go. CDTF is still waiting for that one last loss that will rub it into Jeff Van Gundy's face telling him that he is an idiot for that stupid prediction of his. I must admit that the Heat have played way better since November and are really understanding how to play with each other, but it will only be a matter of time when they will be shut down and exposed again. More defensive minded teams will do that. I'm anticipating the one against Chicago since they are one of the better defensive teams in the league.

CDTF Key Matchup

Action Jackson (Stephen Jackson) vs. Flash (Dwayne Wade) - Both players have been playing very well over the last week and it will continue. The vet Jackson has seen his stats rise up to 27.6 ppg, 7 rebs, 4 asts, and 2 stls. The only problem with Jackson is the TO. Jackson has always been a person that gives the ball away a lot, but he flung a 9 TO game once in the last 3 games! OUCH! That's not going to cut it when you play against the Heat. They are beasts when they score points off turnovers! D-Wade on the other hand has been torching the net with 36.6 ppg, including back to back 40+ point games. Look for both players to get up there in the points, but it will be Jackson's TO that will dictate who will be the winner of this. If Jackson goes 3+, then he's in trouble, as well as his team. I'm giving the node to Wade.

CDTF Keep Your Eye On...

As mentioned before, DJ Augustin has been a man on a mission ever since Silas came in. Silas said he wanted to make Augustin his pet project and it's paid off. Over the past three games, DJ has avg: 22.3 ppg, 5.3 asts, 60% FG, and 0.6 TO. That's a pretty good line for a PG in the league. Only if he had better steal totals. None the less, if the Bobcats want to crack this Heat team, they will need Augustin to lead their offensive to outscore the Heat. The Heat showed signs of trouble against the Warriors. The Cats just need to build and early lead and play good D.

Our Prediction:

Bobcats were close last time. They will be closer this time. Good D and lots of scoring will do the trick. I'm going with an upset here and the countdown to go to 0! Go CATS!!!!

Post Game Comments:

The cats were excited to play this game opening up with a good start, but it didn't last for long. In the middle of the 2nd and 3rd they just turned ice cold, at one point only hitting 1 for 22 shots. Seems like the Paul Silas 14 second offense had some problems.

It was the Dwayne James show tonight were they went off for 69 pts, 20 rebs, and 9 asts combined. With CB1 chipping in another 11 pts that was pretty much enough to put away Charlotte with just the Big Three.

The Bobcats never really had a shot in this game though, and missing Crash really doesn't help any either. Sloppy play, and poor offence haven't changed for this team as they remain one of the bottom dwellers in the league.

The Heat are rolling once again, and with a favourable stretch they may be able to put together a good streak again. They are really fighitng the countdown tooth and nail, but their time will come.

Pre-Game Analysis:

2011... Time for Change?

So, The Miami Heat have had an interesting two months this year. November was a month of disaster, while December was a month of pure dominance. So what does Jan, Feb, March, and April have in store for the Heat? Let's see what the schedule holds. January appears to only have 5/14 tough teams for the Heat, but that is just a stretch (Denver seems to be the only tough team). February has 4/12 teams and one of them is Boston who they haven't beaten yet. KG is hurt, but i'm sure he'll be back for this game. Don't forget the return of "The Big Bosh Man" in TO! BOOOOOOOO! March has a tougher test with 8/15 teams that are difficult including 2 against the deadly Spurs, a rematch with the Lakers and a ton of Western teams. Finally, April shows another matchup with Boston, Hotlanta and their final game in TO... BOOOOOOO!!!! All in all, March seems to be the toughest month, but I'm sure the Heat will be in the playoff picture by then.

Not getting ahead of ourselves, the Heat won't have much time to celebrate the New Years when they host the Warriors in their home turf. The Warriors didn't put up a much fight, but they didn't have Curry last time. I'm sure he will help make the game close, but judging by what happen last time, this could be another destruction. Maybe too much partying (LeBron's party + New Years) will butter up the Heat and make them soft entering the new year.

CDTF Key Matchup

Stephen Curry vs. Dwayne Wade - Wade has dropped 40+ in two games and Curry can do the same too. Curry will have a tough task in stopping D-Wade, but hey, Curry is a nice young stud and he can make some magic happen. A 3 here, a drive to the hoop there, and boom. He could be the one dropping 40 on Wade and the Heat. It's going to be a tight battle, but look for both to surpass the 20 pt mark.

CDTF Key Your Eye On...

CB4 has recently claimed that he wants to average 10 rebounds a game. Maybe he wants to average 20 points as well like when he was on the Raptors and block 1 gernade as well? Let's see if the "Big Bosh Man" can average 11+ rebounds throughout 2011 to get it up to 10 rebounds. Maybe he should injure Big Z and tell Lebron to just pass and talk to Kevin Love on how he rebounds :)

Our Prediction:

I'm banking on an OT finish where the Heat and Warriors go toe to toe, but with a Heat win :)

Post Game Comments:

Close, but not close enough Warriors

Wow, The Heat almost let this one slip, but did an excellent job to come back from a huge first half by the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors built a 14 point lead after the first half including an amazing 36 foot shot by Ellis at the buzzer, but what's this? The Heat come all the way back and beat them by 7? Sounds like a Raptor meltdown to me. Anyways, the Heat keeps on proving us wrong by coming back from these disadvantages. If it were a better team, i don't think the Heat will do so well, esp a team with great defense. Anyways, another win against a sub 500 team. Whoopi!

The Big Bosh man was the man of the first half for the Heat, but then the big guns (Wade/James) came along and sealed the victory. D.Wright did his best to best his old team, but his 30 points wasn't enough.

And what about Steph Curry? A huge non-factor in this game. 16 points, 6 assists and 3 steals won't cut it against the Heat. How disappointing. On the other side, D-Wade had a horrible first half, but an excellent finish. 25 points, 6 boards, 8 assists and 2 steals totally trumps the 2nd yr guard. Curry has a lot of growing up to do. What better way to continue to play with the elite NBA talent.

Finally, the Big Bosh man started his campaign of 10 rebounds per game before the end of the season and he did well by adding 11 boards to his total tonight. Here's wondering if he can even get to 9!

Just another Western Conference Team

It's back on the road again to face another Western Conference team and the Rockets have not been what they use to be. Yao Ming is out for the season again and possibily done for the rest of his career, T-Mac is now with the Pistons, and Scola is now one of the Rocket's best players. Not a team that use to have two championships and were always in the hunt in the playoffs. Not to mention that amazing winning streak a few yrs ago! In any case, the Rockets are just another team for the Miami Heat to feast on, but CDTF knows that the Heat are full of surprises. Indiana Pacers anyone? Houston is back to 500 and have won 5 in a row, but does this really mean much? The Rockets have shown signs of not being a team that can take on elite teams and Martin may be hurt enough to not play this game.

Miami is slowly showing the Association that they are a team to be reckoned with. Crushing the Lakers and showing the Knicks that Amar'e should have signed with them. The Miami Thrice have been dominating again and again and the help has been there too. Big Z has been doing his best to output numbers to help his team, so are they going to do it? Still have to wait and see. Thursday will be LeBron's B-Day and I wonder what will happen to his team after then. This party will probably be crazy and off the hook. Maybe this crazy party will throw them off in the 2011. Time will tell, but here's hoping they slump some more like in November.

CDTF Key Matchup

The Argentinian Sensation (Luis Scola) vs. The Big Bosh Man (Chris Bosh) - So, Two people, two important people heading in two different directions. One, somewhat young with fury has boosted his stats and status in the West as a force to be reckon with. Scola has taken this oppurtunity to be the man in Houston as there is no more Yao Ming. Boasting a respectable 20+ ppg Scola has been the main supply of points (minus Kevin Martin) and the Rockets rely on him heavily. He will give Bosh some trouble down low and could feast on him all night, but don't discredit the Big Bosh Man. CB1 seems to have figured out what his role is on the Miami Heat. Maybe Obama was right that a team just needs time to gel. CB1, has seen his stats decline a bit, but what can you expect when you are playing with the top 2 players in the Association. In the end, both players have similiar numbers this year, but Scola has more responsibility. In the end, look for Scola to be the one to have the better numbers of the night.

CDTF X-Factor

Shane Battier.. The man that does it all. Can he do it to the Heat? Artest had a hard time containing LBJ so can Battier slow down the King? Battier has shown signs of great games, but it will be a tough task. If he can slow down the King, Scola keeping Bosh at bay and Martin figuring a way to keep DWade from the points chart, then maybe the Rockets have a chance. Defense is the key!

Our Prediction:

Will be a stretch, but the Heat have this one. Unless the X-Factors happen, the Heat will have a nice early party gift for the King.

Post Game Comments:

119 points is nice, but still can't beat the Heat unless you play D!

The Rockets tried their best to stop the Heat, but it wasn't enough falling 119-125 in the end. Dwayne Wade dropped another 40 plus tonight and the Miami Thrice put up 86 points this time around. That could be enough points to beat a team who can't score. The Rockets tried their best to break apart the Heat, taking the lead before the half. But what do you know, the big guns come out and another road win for the Heat. WOW... Seems like we will have to wait until the new year for their next loss.

Luis Scola also did not come out and outperform his counterpart as both him and The Big Bosh Man both touch the net for 20+. Shane Battier also didn't do much to stop LBJ, but not many can. Aaron Brooks had a pretty good night, trying to get back from his injury that put him out for most of the first part of the season, but alas, the Rockets didn't have enough fuel.

So, the Heat are going to pack it up for 2010 and have a blast at LeBron B-Day party. Bring on 2011 Miami HEAT! Lots of stories to come in 2011!

The Return Of Amar'e

The Miami Heat are really feeling good about themselves after there very impressive win over the Lakers on Christmas Day. If you can get Kobe angry, then you've done something really, really good to piss him off. Well, now they can have some time to relax and get set to face the NY Knicks in South Beach.

Amar'e and his Knicks came off with an impressive win against the Bulls and Amar'e looked like the Beast he was that he wasn't the last time the Knicks faced the Heat. The Heat handled Amar'e very easily and snapped his 30 point game streak. So I say this again, Amar'e is HUNGRY!

So what is going to happen this time at South Beach. Both teams are coming off nice victories on Christmas Day and I'm sure the Knicks haven't forgotten their loss at the Garden a week ago. Adjustments will be made and I'm looking for D'Antoni to really fuel the offense and to have this game be a shootout.

CDTF Key Matchup

Felton vs. Arroyo - So, Felton has found his groove now that he's part of D'Antoni's explosive offensive style and look at those stats. He's upped his points by 6, added 1 more 3, 3 extra dimes and a few more steals. Felton is on pace to win most improved player of the NBA season, but last time he faced the Heat he did not have his A game on. I wonder why? He can easily school any PG that Miami throws at him (except LeBron), so I'm thinking Felton will have a much better game, which will be the X-Factor that wasn't there last time. Amar'e is going to get his points, but Felton needs to step up or else the same result will happen from last game.

CDTF Keep Your Eye On...

LeBron recorded his third triple double of the season yesterday and he had his second against the Knicks. Will he get another on this tuesday? I think the last Triple Double was fueled by the Boos and Spike Lee in New York. This time around, there won't be any boos in South Beach, maybe just "Miami Loves You" chants. Oh well... LeBron will be the key for victory.

Our Prediction:

I'm betting Felton and Amar'e will show up and with some help from Chandler and Galli, the Knicks should make this close and have their points total a tad higher than the Heat! Countdown to 0 this time around? STAY TUNED!

Post Game Comments:

You're playing for the wrong team Amar'e

The Miami Heat has bested the Knicks twice now and this time it was D-Wade going crazy with 40 points. LeBron had some early flashes of awesome, but D-Wade stole the show. The Miami Thrice averaged over 70 points tonight and that usually results in a win and it did. The Knicks don't seem to have much of an answer for the Heat as they just can't seem to beat them. Perhaps the Knicks need Melo to battle the Heat.

Raymond Felton stepped up a bit more tonight, but his 15 pts, 5 assist and no steals isn't the new Raymond Felton that has been posting monster numbers. The Knicks will need him to step up every game in order for them to beat the more elite teams. Did i just admit the Heat were an elite team! UH OH.... In any case, Felton should have criss crossed Arroyo and others, but he was a huge non factor again. Too bad, Amar'e really needs it. Maybe he should call out his teammates like Kobe!

In any case, LeBron didn't record another triple double, but he was close, missing by 2 assists. LeBron has really gotten comfortable with his teammates, but I'm still wondering if he is a "WINNER" like MJ. MJ said Charles Barkley was not a winner, and LeBron not going to the Knicks to be the man to be a sidekick with Wade and Bosh smells like a loser riding someone's coat tails. We shall see

"The People Have Spoken":

Knicks lost... SIGH... Whatever, still waiting for the next loss! People were right though.

Here comes the 2 time Champs!

The Heat escaped the desert with a win without DWade and now it's time to play on Christmas and guess what, you get the Lakers. The NBA relishes these matchups on Chirstmas day and quit your complaining LeBron. If you don't want to play on Chirstmas day, then you shouldn't have attracted so much attention to South Beach. This should also be interesting for Chris Bosh who is a "Playing on Christmas Day" virgin. Not sure how he will take the spotlight. Remember, he played poorly in the beginning of the season with all the adjustments. I'm guessing another adjustment will be coming on Chirstmas Day. He's probably so use to going home on Chirstmas day in Texas :p

The Lakers have an impressive record, but they have been wishy washy as of late. Though they are 8-2 in their last 10, they got destroyed by the Bucks who were withough Jennings! Just make sure you don't get kicked out of this game ok KOBE! Seriously, are the champions slowly fading away to not being the best team in the NBA? No matter, the Lakers have tons of players on their team that will cause a lot of problems for the Heat. This is the marquee game on Chirstmas and I don't think both teams will disappoint the NBA fans.

CDTF Key Matchup

Kobe Byrant vs. LeBron James - Pau Gasol vs. Chris Bosh would be a great matchup, but of course two of the best players in the NBA have to be analyzed. Bryant is getting up there in age, but he's still one of the elite players in the NBA. The Black Mamba will try his best to have his grip tight on the King. Both players are avg less than what they outputted last yr, but still respective numbers. I fully expect Kobe to bring his AAA game to the court on Christmas day and show the Miami Heat who's boss!

CDTF Keep Your Eye On...

The X-Factor... Who is this? Pau Gasol. Gasol has always eaten up Bosh over the years and Bosh just doesn't have the size to take him on. Also look for Artest to do his thing and really frustrate the Heat players with his antics. Also, if there is no D-Wade, look for a blowout by the Lakers

Our Prediction:

Lakers will have a great Christmas present from Santa this year and that's a win over the Miami Thrice! Lakers for the win and to give us a present by bring the countdown to 0!!!!!

Post Game Comments:

Umm.. This wasn't suppose to happen

The Heat beating the Lakers on prime time Christmas Day? Oh Dear….. The Heat never looked back as they defeated the Lakers 96-80 on the marquee matchup during Christmas Day. LeBron recorded his third triple double and got plenty of help from Bosh and Wade, combining for 69 points. Bosh had an excellent game as well working on the O and D end and really limiting the Spanish Beat Gasol to only 17 points and 8 boards.

The Lakers really looked flat today and Kobe called out his teammates after the second half saying that the games they have been playing lately have meant more to their opponents than them. Kobe and LeBron has some heated discussions before the game ended and Artest tried his best to anger the 2 time MVP, but it wasn't enough. Artest did seem to get under his skin by making him draw a tech after LeBron shoved him, but James would not pick up a second tech and stayed in this game to punish the Lakers. It's ok, one day LeBron's mouth will really get him in trouble.

CDTF Key Matchup Recap

The Black Mamba was totally flat this game scoring 0 points in the first quarter and ending with 17. Not nearly as good as LeBron's numbers. It appears that LeBron has had Kobe's number now 9-5 when these two go head to head. Round 2 will occur March 10th in south beach. Lots of time to bottle up that anger and unleash it that night.

CDTF Keep Your Eye On Recap… Amigo.. Gasol… What happen? You totally disappointed when Kobe needed you the most! Frustrating… Artest made a bigger impact.. Man i really wished to see more Drama from Artest.. to bad LeBron didn't bite… Sometimes ppl with too much fame and fortune just need to be dropped down to earth!

Pre-Game Analysis:

Let the Drama and Suspense begin!

So, the Miami Heat lost their 9th game of the season yesterday and that means our Countdown is at 1. If the Heat lose another game, then they can only achieve a tie with the 95-96 Bulls. Jeff Van Gundy stated that they would "break" the record, so a tie is no good! Judging by the games left in December, this countdown could be over before the 2011 season! OH BABY that would be sweet!

Another western conference team is next for the Heat as they face the "new" Suns in the desert! The suns pulled off a mega trade that sent JRich, Dancing "Ball" Hedo, and Earl Clark (Who?) to the Magic. In return the Suns added the very athletic center Marcin Gortat, VC and Flying Frenchman Pietrus. All three players did not see the floor on Sunday or Monday and will make their debut Thursday against the Heat. The key piece here is Gortat. Many, many teams have been trying to pry this player off the Magic roster as he was rotting away as a backup to D12. Dallas tried and failed and once Gortat was traded to the Suns, calls were flying in to see if the Suns would be trading Gortat! WOW. Talk about Mr. Popular. Anyways, Gortat should see increased minutes in Phoenix and the Suns are hoping he will be their answer to improving their defense. Vince Carter? He's already thinking about packing it up with artho knee surgery. VC will be the new JRich, but i don't see much from him. VC needs to go to a team with cold weather so his knees don't act up.. TO RETURN?!?!?!?!?

The Heat now remember what it feels like to lose again. After reeling off 12 straight wins, the Heat lost to the Mavs which was the team they last lost to. The Heat have beaten the Suns before, but that was with the old team. The new team will be sloppy because they haven't played with each other so look for them to attack early to grow a huge lead. If they don't, there could be trouble in the desert.

CDTF Key Matchup

Marcin Gortat vs. Big Z - Gortat is making his debut with the Suns and he might be the backup for now, but look for him to be the starting C very soon. Gortat will have his way with Big Z and Joel Anthony so I look for him to have a big night. Plus, he is very familiar with the Eastern teams esp the Miami Heat since he's an ex-Magic. Gortat for the win!

CDTF Watch out for...

Can the Heat bounce back and start another big winning streak? It will be tough as they have several tough opponents before the year end, including the 2 time defending champion LA Lakers. This game will be good, but not as epic as the Laker game on Christmas day. That will be something special. Kobe vs. LeBron. Gasol vs. Bosh, Somebody will cover Wade :p. For now we hope the Heat lose on Thursday, but there is always Saturday to see the countdown hit the big 0!

Our Prediction:

Suns will have problems with the Heat again because of the new personnel. I'm hoping Gortat does well in Phoenix cause he deserves a chance to be a starter. He could be great like Big Z or a bust like Montross!

Post Game Comments:

Tonight started off very promisingly, but the Suns fire would burn for only 8 minutes in this game. After that, this rag tag team that's being torn apart just don't have what it takes to take down the Heat, even with Wade missing.

Jared Dudley amazingly put up a show for Pheonix, but everyone was mediocre at best. Nash led the ship with 18 dimes but his shooting was sorely needed.

Lebron and Bosh played their games and in the end that was enough. Miami takes down another sub 500 team.

"The People Have Spoken":

The vote was a dead split, but the Heat won. However, Christmas Day is what we're all waiting for. Will Kobe and friends bring the Miami Thrice a big old piece of coal as presents? I say YES!!! Also, Lebron can hate playing on Christmas all he wants but when you get paid mega millions, and get to take the summers off I don't think too many people feel much sympathy.

Pre-Game Analysis:

Unlucky 13?

Woo Nelly... The Heat escaped DC with a win when they shouldn't have and now they face another test against the Mavs at South Beach. The Mavs haven't played since Friday so they will be well rested for this game. Let's hope they don't party so much in South Beach since they do have 3 days to kill. Last time these two teams met, the Mavs were the last team to deliver a loss to the Heat, so maybe it will take the Mavs to break this winning streak. Should be another good matchup. I hope Cuban has made the trip to South Beach. I love it when he stirs up drama. Maybe he'll convince Riley to trade LeBum to him :)

CDTF Key Matchup

Diggler vs. Bosh - The Digger and Bosh both had 22 points that game, but Dirk has been hot lately winning Player of the Week honours last week (Oh wait, Wade won that for the east too). Dirk and Bosh have similiar games, but Dirk is the man in Dallas, Bosh is not even the 2nd wheel. I'm giving Dirk the nod to cut up Bosh and drop 30 in Miami!

CDTF Keep Your Eye On...

Tyson Chandler could be the X-Factor of this game like last time. Chandler was a beast on the boards, grabbing 17 of them and swatting 3 Heat shots. If the Heat have a poor shooting game like on Saturday, Chandler will have a healthy double double in the bag, which may perpel the Mavs to victory!

Our Prediction:

Number 13 is not a lucky number and the Mavs have felt the loss of their 12 game win streak snapped by the Bucks. Mavs will make their bets in Vegas to snap the Heat's win streak.

Please DALLAS.. PLEASE BEAT THE HEAT!

Post Game Comments:

It's not always Sunny in South Beach when the Mavericks gallop into town.

The Heat survived a scare in DC, but this time could not muster an impressive win against the Mavericks. The Heat shot very poorly from the field, only averaging 40.5% (YIKES) and the Super Friends combined for 60. It appears the Miami Thrice need to hit that 70+ mark in order for some assurance of a victory. LeBum didn't even have a single point in the first half. That is a sign of bad new to come when he's not scoring in the first half. None the less, the team that gave them their last loss, just snapped their 12 game win streak, but i have to say, this game was closer than expected. Miami has seemed to really shown they could be a championship team one day, but things will happen. THIS TEAM WILL NOT WIN!

CDTF Key Matchup Recap:

We looked at the two Power Forwards. Dirk scored 7 more points than Bosh, but their rebounding totals were pretty much the same. Bosh did not suffer from the Lebron Turnover syndrome and stayed clean on the TO sheet after suffering 12 TOs in the last two games. Dirk was a big factor in the Mavs win and its unfortunate that he is on the other side of 30. The Diggler is still an elite player in the league, which will only be stopped by age. Bosh seems to have found his rebounding touch, but what has happen to his D? His blocks are down this yr and it doesn't seem as if he's really focusing on the defensive end. Digger wins this one!

CDTF What To Watch Recap:

So, Tyson Chandler was the main focus of our "What To Watch" and did he bring it on in the defensive end? Chandler finished the night with 10 rebounds/0 blocks, but was perfect shooting wise with 8 points. Not the 17 rebs/3 blks the last time they met, but the intensity was still there. Dirk must be pleased Cuban somehow pulled some strings with MJ to lure Chandler to Dallas when he was reportedly head to Toronto!

Finally, Mike Miller returned when he was reported not to be playing today and went 0-4 from the 3pt line. Great job Mike! Let the Miller curse begin :) THE COUNTDOWN IS AT ONE PEOPLE!!!! CHRISTMAS MIGHT GIVE US A MIAMI HEAT COUNTDOWN TO FAILURE :)

"The People Have Spoken":

People starting to jump on the bandwagon as they voted yes for the Heat! But the Mavs were too much for them and pulled this one off. Better luck next time Heat Lovers... All the Power to you Heat Haters

Pre-Game Analysis:

Houston… we have a problem!

Heat are really, really hot right now winners of 11 games and man this can keep going. The Wiz are in serious trade talks to rid of Arenas and his stupid contract, and maybe we won't see Agent 9 tomorrow against the Heat. Who really cares, Agent 9 is not the man he use to be.

The Wiz and Heat are going opposite directions and the Number 1 draft pick is looking very gimpy as Wall hasn't consistently played this year. There's something about the Number 1 picks that makes you wonder why they keep getting hurt (Wall, Grif, Kenyon, Kandi Man, more…). Anyways, Wall probably won't play against the Heat again, but I don't see this affecting the outcome of the game. The Heat are just dominating, and man they are starting to look like a championship team, but it's ok, they won't win this yr! I'm wondering who will be the leading scorer for the Heat tomorrow

CDTF Key Matchup

Agent 9 vs. Dwayne Wade - The two snipers on each team are going toe to toe tomorrow (unless Agent 9 gets traded) and they won't disappoint. Last time, Arenas and Wade had a shootout, 23 for Arenas, 26 for Wade. Both had great lines and we'll see this continue tomorrow. I'm going to give Arenas the nod this time.

CDTF's What To Watch

Miami Thrice are killing it. Look for them to continue to avg over 70 pts tonight!

Our Prediction:

This is going to be a boring game. Maybe McGee will dunk properly, block 20 shots and go ape crap on the Heat! NOT! No Blatche either makes me wonder how many points the Wiz will lose tomorrow night!

Post Game Comments:

OMFG… That's how you lose a game

The clocking is ticking to 0… You're up by 5. Heat Haters are salivating cause they are ready to tweet about a huge upset by the Wiz over the Heat, but just when you think they've won, the Heat pull off a magical victory and the Wiz lose the b-ball game in the end! Thanks to some poor free throw shooting and a steal by LeBum, the Heat squeak by the Wiz 95-94.

Josh Howard and Kirk Hinrich had something in common tonight and that they couldn't nail 2 free throws when they needed it. Howard missed 2/4 while Hinrich missed 1/2 down the stretch. Once Hinrich missed that shot, you knew that the Heat would score and win this ball game. Sigh! I've noticed a few things about players who have great career free throw during crunch time. They crumble under the Heat! Josh Howard is one of these guys. So is Dwayne Wade, but he totally sealed this victory. (Anthony Parker is another one :) ).

The Heat are probably celebrating like no tomorrow, and the countdown stays at 2! Dallas is next on Monday and if the Heat can get passed Christmas week with no losses, then I'm going to have to say they might just pull it off. None the less, we must not lose the faith fans! HEAT WILL LOSE 10 games this yr!

"The People Have Spoken":

Almost an upset but almost is not 100%. Dallas is next… They'll try to make it 2-2 Monday

Pre-Game Analysis:

AMAR'E IS COMING FOR YOU HEAT

The hottest player in the league is ready for some revenge after a heartbreak loss against the Celtics yesterday. Amar'e has been a beast as of late, avg 30+ points in his last 9 games. It will be safe to say, this could continue with the Miami Heat! The Knicks are not a laughing stock team anymore since they upgraded their team with Amar'e, Felton and the suprising Rookie sensation Landry Fields. Miami will have their hands full after they did not blow out the Cavs in South Beach, but their impressive 10 game win streak cannot be looked past.

CDTF Key Matchup:

Amar'e Stoudemire vs. Chris Bosh - The new beast of the east will have a lot more matchups with the man that people thought could be as good as Amar'e, but that surely doesn't look like it. Amar'e doesn't have Nash anymore, but he's still tearing it up with Felton. Who needs Nash? Amar'e would say: "Not Me... Maybe Shawn Marion!". Bosh has seen his number collapse, esp his rebounding/blocking stats which should stay the same with a team that lacks a big man. It just proves Bosh doesn't like to get down and do the dirty work. Amar'e will take Bosh to school. He has a career 24.5 ppg/8.3 reb/1.6 blk total against the Raps and Bosh. Good Luck Bosh

CDTF Watch Out For...

The Heat are trying to make it 11, but another test is coming. The Knicks might not be the Celtics or Lakers, but they are still pretty good. Can the Heat find a way to break down this Knicks team in the Mecca of Basketball? LeBron will be coming to NY where he was rumoured to go to. How will the fans great the King? I'm sure it won't be as loud as the Cavs fans! STAY TUNED

Our Prediction:

Amar'e will take it to this Super Team and go we better than you and Bosh you got nothing on me! NYK For The Win and to break this 10 game win streak

Post Game Comments:

What happen Amar'e?

Amar'e failed to outclass the Heat and prove to the Knicks faithful that they are better than the Heat. LeChicken strut his stuff tonight capturing his 2nd triple double of the season, right in front of Spike Lee's grill. It seems like LeBron has a knack for saving amazing games against teams that really hate him. The boos rained down (not as loud as Cleveland), but it only fueled the fire. Seems to be the trend in the NBA (Vince Carter anyone?).

The Super Friends yet again outscored the top 3 players on the other team (84-57). The streak is at 11, and CDTF doesn't like it!!! Can they keep this going and be perfect in December? Tomorrow should be a win, but Dallas is going to be next after that. The Heat are really scorching right now and with Miller coming back, will they be even more deadlier? CDTF hopes not because we're really missing the countdown going down!

Pre-Game Analysis:

Wait.. LeBron doesn't play for us anymore?

The Heat have not lost a game in the month of December and I don't think a loss will occur for a while. Their next 3 opponents are CLE, NY & WAS. If they can get pat New York, then this win streak could reach 12! WOW, Heat fans have envisioned that this was the real Heat team where they would dominate the competition, but let's not get ahead of ourselves South Beach occupents. Until the Heat can show me they can beat elite teams on a consistent basis (BOS,ORL,ATL,CHI,LAL,SA,DAL,OKC,DEN) like how the Celtics did back in their title run, then you can gloat all you want. At least the Heat are taking care of business with the sub 500 teams like "ELITE" teams should.

The Cavs are losers of 8 straight and juggling of the starting lineup has not helped one bit. Gibson/Jamison have provided more scoring, but this team really misses LeBron. The warm weather might cheer up their spirits.

CDTF Key Points

Miami Thrice outscoring big time - During this 9 game win streak, the Miami Thrice are avg 70.4 ppg combined and outscoring the other team's big three by 29 ppg. It seems that is the new strategy that Spo has initiated. If you can't find 3 guys to outscore our 3, then we're going to beat you. This trend will continue Wednesday.

Gibson/Jamison supplying a spark? - After they have been inserted into the starting lineup, Gibson/Jamison have provided a little bit more scoring (-0.9/+4.6), but will they have huge games against their old teammate. BooBy is mad after LeBron cracked jokes at him and his teammates. Revenge games are always good!

Does anyone really care about this long win streak? - Are ppl in South Beach making plans for a NBA Championship parade already? CDTF doesn't really see deeply into this win streak cause of the opponents. It's impressive, but can they do this against the tougher teams!

Our Prediction:

I don't see the Cavs keeping this close. Blowout in Miami. Open the clubs early cause the Miami Thrice are partying early tonight! Hope they get a hangover and lose against the Knicks!

Post Game Comments:

Now this is the we were expecting from the Cavs back on Dec 2. Both teams went on runs trading leads and no one letting this game get out of hand. The Cavs opened up wanting pay back after being embarassed at home. In the second half the Heat started to break away, but the Cavs had some grit to their game today. All their starters scored in double digits, and if they shot just a little better or kept the fouls in check they could've won.

James and Bosh both shot the ball poorly, but were lucky to get some help from the other players. But we have to give some credit where credit is due. The Heat seem to have some flow in their game. Some of their holes are beginning to patch up mainly on D and in the front court. In their current winning streak they have only lost the battle of boards once, and it wasn't by a big margin.

Heat win, and they are holding back the counter at 2. But the countdown is itching to move again. The super friends have made a good run, but we have a feeling Miami's gonna lose one soon.

"The People Have Spoken":

In the end Miami was still playing the Cleveland Cavaliers, and for them to beat the Heat they really need a spectacular game. Fans called it Heat all the way.

Remembering November 5th, 2010

Remember that day, where everyone though the Holas were going to get smoked by the Heat and they came up with a 3 point win! Oh Boy that was a great day for Heat Haters!

The Heat are coming back to South Beach and this time the Holas will be without their amazing fans to support them. The Heat are smoking hot right now winning 8 games in a row after they had that nice players only talk. The schedule will get tougher for them as they play a vast amount of Western Conference teams as well as NY twice (AMAR'E!!!! ROARRR!!! Good Luck BOSH! HE OWNS YOU), but first… THE HORNETS!!!!

CDTF Key Points

CP3 to the rescue - If anyone can dominate a team, it's CP3. Probably one of the best PG in the NBA right now, he will learn from D-Will's mistake of not taking advantage of a weak Miami PG position. Last time they met, he was a beast! 19 ASSISTS/5 STEALS?!?! SAY WHAAAA!!!! I don't see him getting 19 assists this time around, but look for a better game from the field.

MEKA MECCA! - Okafor has been seen as a bust (Thanks to D12), he had an amazing game against the Heat with 26 points. Though Defense is his game, look for Okafor to dominate Big Z, grab those boards and swat those nuggets away from the basket! Welcome to your next nightmare Big Z

Heat looking for revenge - Bosh/James/Wade all played well last time they faced the Holas and they will show up again. I think they are trying to say, you try to beat us 3 with your best 3. Holas have Paul/Okafor/West to take them on. Heat better not use this 8 game win streak to fuel their cocky strides and mentality because remember, they did beat up very bad teams. WATCH OUT SUPER FRIENDS!

Our Prediction:

This is going to be another close game, and my bet is the Hornets are going to end this 8 game win streak with a bang! They are going to seek some revenge on the Heat after they got torched by the Sixers? SAY WAHHHH! 9 is not a good number for you Heat

Post Game Comments:

My oh my, the Hornets are on a slippery slippery slide after beginning the season white hot. After tonight's loss they are now 3-9 in their last 12 games. We had a game in the first half but the game quickly turned ugly. The 3rd quarter they startied to slip and then Miami opened big in the 4th, and didn't look back. With the Heat reward offense the 4th started to look like a circus but not in the good way. James and Wade were putting up acrobatic shots that were missing all over the place, but it didn't matter because NOLA only scored 9 points.

The Miami Thrice are really starting to click and the win streak continues. Also, this is what CP3 knows he's missing out on. It looks like the streak will easily go to 10, but we'll be looking at the game against NY where both these teams are streaking along.

"The People Have Spoken":

The fans showed no love for NOLA, and they were right. CDTF was hoping the Hornets wouldn't hit that third loss in a row, but no luck. Heat win.

Miami to make it 8?

Can the Heat make it Chinese lucky 8 against yet another sub 500 team called the Kings.. (Well Queens if you talk to Shaq). The Kings are even worse than the Warriors so I don't expect much from this game. Plus Evans is out, so this team won't be in this game at all. Alas, that just means the Heat have a huge chance of winning. OMG! Why are the Heat winning so many games. I think they are just tired of all this bad mouthing of them. And it's no fun when the Heat win. Then we don't have anything interesting to talk about. SO COME ON HEAT! LOOOOSSSSSSSSS!!!! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

Our Prediction:

The Kings will probably bow down to the King of the NBA, I mean "King of Akron" so says his twitter and lose big time. The only chance of them winning is if 2 of the big three go down with a stomach virus! Better start tampering their food guys!

Post Game Comments:

YAWN!

Yeah Yeah, the Heat win, they've won 8 in a row, but to put things in perspective, during these 8 games, the Heat have only played 2 teams above 500 and one of them didn't have their star (Joe Johnson). This one was a sleeper, esp for the ppl on the east coast since it ended so late. yeah the Kings suck and the Heat toasted them. Yippy.

The real test is coming up. The Heat have 9 more games left in December and 5 of them are really good (Hornets/NYx2/Mavs/Suns/Lakers). The Rockets are in that mix too, but are a sub 500 team, but still can be deadly since they are a west team. I can totally see this countdown going to 0 before the New Year approaches.

Good Night everyone, and sleep tight Heat players, cause it's not going to be a snowy Christmas and New Year for you!

"The People Have Spoken":

The poll has ended.

Pre-Game Analysis:

The Miami Heat continue to roll as they beat an elite team in the Utah Jazz. The Heat have won 6 streak games now and i'm sure fans in South Beach are partying even harder, while the bar that gives free drinks when the Heat loss are rejoicing (Although maybe they have less business when the Heat win?). The Heat move to LA and face the GS Warriors and their new logo/unis. Golden State has been on the decline ever since they upset the Dallas Mavericks in that EPIC 1 vs 8 first round matchup. Though they have two young studs in Curry and Ellis, picked up Lee and Wright from FA/Trades, this team seems to be living under the radar for a while. So what will they do against the Heat? We will find out on Friday

CDTF Key Points

Curry out for Friday match? - Curry injured his ankle on Wednesday and was seen walking in a boot. This does not look good for the Warriors because they'll need their young stud to make this game even close. If he's out, the Heat will be laughing and will know they can crush the Warriors

David Lee factor - Lee knows the Miami Thrice team very well as he's gone toe to toe with them, esp Bosh. Lee always posted monster numbers against Bosh and his Ex Raptors, so i look to see him do the same. Though he may not be playing C in GS like he did in NY, he'll still be a force on the boards, which doesn't look good for the Heat's rebounding game.

Super Friends knowing their roles? - The Heat look unstoppable these days, as the Super Friends look to have found their groove and their roles on the team. They seem to have gone with the mentality that us 3 can beat your best three and it looks like it's working. Though we all know the countdown will go to 0 one day, we want it to go now and continue to crush any motivation the Miami Thrice might have!

Our Prediction:

GS doesn't have a pray folks. Unless Reggie Williams can knock another 8 3s or the Warriors knock down 30-40 3s, they are probably going to loss, esp if Curry doesn't play!

Post Game Comments:

Wow.. Did not see this coming.

The Miami Heat are now winners of 7 straight games. Everyone from South Beach though this was the Miami Heat team that they had. Dominating every opponent and coming out with a victory. Don't look back now, but this streak could go to 8 or 10 or maybe 62? Let's hope not.

The Warriors gave it their best shot, but that wasn't good enough. Without Curry, they were no match, though they did keep it close in the first half. The Heat now go to Sacramento to play the Queens, I mean Kings. Fitting for the King?

"The People Have Spoken":

GS didn't say their prayers cause they lost big time. We won big time with our prediction though. Tough loss, but Miami will lose soon!!!!!

Bring out the Jazz Hands!

The Heat are rolling, but the brick wall is coming and it's called the UTAHHHHHHHHH JAZZZZZZZZZZZZZ! The rematch of this beastly West team is going down on Wednesday Night as the Heat play their 2nd game on the road. The Jazz came back to defeat the Heat their first time in South Beach and are looking to pounce on the Heat early and never look back. Though the Jazz have a rep this year of going down big and destroying their opponents later on in the game, that will eventually catch up to them, so Sloan will definitely remind his players that they don't want to do that with this Red Hot Heat team. Great game coming this wednesday.

CDTF Key Points

OMG, it's Deron Williams running the Point! - D.Will has been playing amazing this yr, although one can argue he is not the best PG this yr (Rondo/Paul/Rose/Nash). No matter, D.Will always brings his Double/Triple A game against teams that think they're all that. Time to drop some dimes and treys. Great game for D.Will and headaches for Arroyo and company.

Red Hot Heat - The Miami Heat, winners of 5 games look to make it 6. They have really steam rolled opponents that they should have, but will another West team break this happy streak. Look for the Heat to use these happy times to help them CHILL and finally find a balance to beat a Western Team….. NOT!.

CJ Miles - Super sub? - This guy has been up and down this yr, but when he's hot, he has monster games off the bench. Last time they met, he poured in 12 points with 4 boards/assists, 2 steals and 1 block. That's what I call efficient off the bench. Did you expect anything else from a Jerry Sloan team? Who's going to match his bench numbers on the Heat? NO ONE!

Our Prediction:

Jazz hands! The Utah Jazz will have their hands outscoring/rebounding/dishing/steal/swatting the Heat players for a nice, cool and calm victory over the Heat! After the game, Sloan will tell the Heat to just "Chill" and go back home to watch some good old American Cable.

Post Game Comments:

The Heat came into Utah knowing they lost a heart breaker in South Beach and they didn't disappoint their fans. The Heat lead throughout most of the game and they didn't let up in the end like last time.

Utah didn't do much to get themselves back in the game with countless turnovers and missed free throws, mainly from Milsap. The Bench also didn't help much, getting outscored 20-10. Too bad their 3 ball game wasn't working too.

The Heat have now won 6 in a row, and i'm sure that makes Bosh feel good cause i don't even think he's ever experiences such a long winning streak before. The Heat have 2 more west opponents on the road and both are sub 500 teams.. Could this streak go to 10? Here's hoping not.... This countdown needs to go down soon!

"The People Have Spoken":

Sorry folks, we all thought Utah was going to win, but they totally disappointed us big time! Thanks a lot Utah! Next up, GS Warriors.

4 game road trip -> Countdown to Failure to 0?

The Heat are on the road for 4 games, with 3 in the West! UH OH… The Heat are 2-4 against West teams, but they are facing two teams that are so so (GS and SAC). GS can surprise, ask Dirk, AJ, and the Mavs, but we shall see. First, it's the Bucks and oh boy, another sub 500 team. Does that mean a win for the Heat? Who knows. The Bucks recently win was against the Orlando "Puke.. My stomach is not feeling well" Magic, so that doesn't really count. Let's hope the stomach flu was from Florida so the Heat get something.. Cough Cough…. The real fun begins on Wed against the Jazz!

CDTF Key Points

Bogut's back - We are also hoping Gooden is back too cause that would give the Bucks a pretty good front court, and we all know what happens when the Heat face a team with a strong and big front court… PROBLEMS!!!! Bogut should dominate, but not on the FT line :p

Heat on a roll, so is Bosh - The ex Raptor has been on fire ever since he played against his former team. Averaging 21.5 PPG, 8.5 REB, 50.0 FG%, 78.0 FT% over the last 11 games. Look for him to continue to eat points away from Dwayne James and keep up the rebound count since Dampier isn't going to cut in that total.

Lebron's Cleveland Hangover? - LBJ didn't have a great game against the Hawks after he had an epic 3rd quarter against the Cavs. Let's hope the funk continues for CDTF's countdown's sake! AKRON HATES YOU!!!!!

Our Prediction:

Bucks have a chance and they are also at Home. Let's hope ppl actually go watch the game and get loud. Jennings could totally explode and dump on the Heat too, but we shall see. CDTF will go with the favourite cause they are going to get smoked by the Jazz!

Post Game Comments:

Whoa. Now this was an ugly game. The Bucks were lucky that they even hung around in this game. Shooting 35% from the field is a guaranteed loss every time.

The Super Friends played alright but were still in danger in the 4th in this terrible looking game. The Bucks miraculously brought it down to 3 pts, but fizzled out after that. This was really not a good game from either side.

And unfortunately, this year was a bad year to trademark the phrase "Fear the Deer" because the Bucks have looked like that deer in the headlights so far, and have been road kill for the better teams in the league.

Pre-Game Analysis:

Atlanta Rocks!!!!! Well so does Cleveland.

So, it's been a while since the countdown has moved from this cozy number of 2, but it's ok. The season is still young, and the Heat are not going to win 60 games out of 62, so eventually, the fireworks will go off and the countdown to failure will hit 0! As everyone says about the Miami Heat… We just gotta be patient with this team!

The Heat host Hotlanta to face the Hawks who are out without their star Joe Johnson after he had surgery on his elbow. A break for the Heat? Let's hope not. Besides that, the Hawks have enough firepower on their team to still compete with Elite teams in the Association so I expect this to be a close and entertaining game, unlikes the Cavs games (minus the crowd entertainment.. that was awesome!). The Miami Heat seem to be on a roll, but their schedule is pretty tough during the Christmas month, so lets see how many losses will they rack up. Time to take out this fire in Hotlanta

CDTF Key Points

No JJ, No Problem? - The man that does it all is out for 4-6 weeks and that hurts the ATL. Look for Marvin Williams and Bibby to step up big to fill this void.

Momentum building up Heat's confidence? - The Heat look very comfortable on the court now. Bosh has found his "balance", although Dwayne James are still looking for theirs. If they can build on their momentum, could they finally start beating elite teams?

Spo finally getting to the Heat? - Not much talk about Spo these days. Maybe the Heat are buying into his game plan? Or maybe they just killed 3 sub 500 teams. If they beat the ATL and the Jazz, the we'll see

Our Prediction:

NO JJ will hurt, but the ATL are still a good team. It's going to be too HOT in HOTlanta for the Heat, so look for them to fizzle in a close game with many lead changes. AKRON HATES YOU… SO DOES ATL!

Post Game Comments:

Double J really hurt the chances of the Hawks beating the Heat tonight, as this game was a close one, but the Heat managed to squeak by. The Hawks brought it to 5 points, but the Heat turned it up in the end to seal the victory. The Heat are now on a cool 4 game win streak after the player meeting and won't face another touch opponent until they face the Utah Jazz.

LBJ didn't have such a great game, after coming off that amazing game against his old team. I guess he had a Cleveland hangover. No matter, the losses will come people and we will be here to talk and laugh about these losses soon enough :) BEAT THE HEAT! BEAT THE HEAT! we can't wait to talk about another Heat loss!

"The People Have Spoken":

Again, low voting totals, and the votes were 1 vote in favour of the Hawks winning. Too bad they lost by a few points. JJ would have covered that. Let's hope he's back when they face the Heat again! Next time fans! Next time, we'll get it right.. Heat loss right :)

The Return of the Lebron…

Cleveland Cavalier fans have penciled this game on their calendars and it has finally come. LeBron returns to Akron, Ohio and he's facing his former beloved team in their home turf. OMG I wish I were there with the sell out crowd chanting the most obscene and offensive "LeBron" chants. This game will probably be bigger than the Christmas game vs the Lakers. I swear, I fear for LeBron's life cause Cleveland fans can get rowdy. Remember when they threw beer cans at the refs during a Brown's game??? Seriously LeBron… You should have just stayed.

CDTF Key Points

The 6th man on the court - The Fans will be there. It will be a sellout. There will be more boos than cheers overtime number 6 touches the ball. The crowd is going to play a huge factor in this game. I can't wait to see highlights from this game. MY OH MY. Let's hope there will be no repeat of "The Brawl In Mo-Town".

How will LeBron play in such a hostile environment - Did LeBron quit? Does he really want his Jersey retired or has he had to much "Powder" lately. LeBron has never played in a hostile environment like this. Will it distract him? Remember Bosh's GF taunting him and he flipped out and won that game for the Cavs. Will that repeat in Ohio? Time will tell.

Could this game get ugly? - Rowdy, drunk fans who want LBJ blood to be spilled. Will this game get ugly to the point were things are thrown from the crowd and the game will be cancelled or cut short? Here's hoping not because humans are humans and it is a shame if the Cleveland fans do such a thing.

Our Prediction:

Cavs all the way. I don't care if they are the underdog. They will find a way to say, LeBron, good luck in Miami! Wish the countdown was at 1 at this point, but after tomorrow, it will be 1!!!!

I just wonder how many ppl will support LBJ tomorrow. I sure hope they get ready for boos and heckling.

Post Game Comments:

BOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!! AKRON HATES YOU !!!

Like any player who leaves their team, the negative fan reaction helps them play better, and Lebron did just that.

Tonight the Cavs showed just how bad a team they are. The fans brought their A-game, hatin' on Lebron every chance they got with a special thanks to Susan Shan for all the great chants, but the players either forgot that James ditched them for South Beach or they just didn't care. They played ugly from start to finish not being able to buy a bucket. Atrocious on O and D, they were laughing it up with Lebron whenever he was around them.

Miami Heat wins, Cleveland Cavs fail big time.

"The People Have Spoken":

The vote turnout wasn't that great, but the fans favored the Cavs. Unfortunately we were wrong because the Cavs players are still standing around and watching as if Lebron were still playing for them.

T-Mac Attack

Maybe not in this time, but the Pistons fly to South Beach to face the "Back on track" Miami Heat? After the team meeting, they steam rolled the Wall-less Wizards and are looking for 2 before the King goes to Cleveland to face the Clevalanders. T-Mac recently stated that James/Wade could not play together because they both demanded the ball and they both play positions that can make their own plays and are usually the number 1 scoring option. Like, look at Kobe and Shaq. They both commanded the ball, but they had different roles on the team. Shaq was the big man down low and Kobe was the man torching it from the outside. Wade/James, they are the same player. Like Bargnani and Bosh, and we all know what happen in TO and TO had a way better second unit than Miami! T-Mac is a wise man now.

CDTF Key Points

Are the Piston's any good anymore? - Remember when the Pistons were celebrating their championship with Larry Brown? That was a long time ago wasn't it. 6 years to be exact. This team is too old and doesn't have an identity anymore. Sad.. All downhill when they traded Billups for AI.

Did the Players Meeting really work? - I'm not convinced that the player meeting has helped the Miami Heat. They are playing a few sub 500 teams after the meeting (Wiz/Pistons/Cavs). If they can beat the Hawks and Jazz, then i'll see. Of course, the Pistons/Cavs/Bucks can beat this team :) CLEVELAND!!!

COUNTDOWN TO 1? - If the Pistons can do it, then the EPIC Cavs/Heat game could be the last game to bring the countdown to 0. It's inevitable, but when will it happen.

Our Prediction:

Not even sure who's good on the Pistons anymore. Thus, a Heat win... probably will happen. We're looking for a Pacer repeat, but maybe in another dimension!

Post Game Comments:

Heat played Detroit today, and just like the vote no one really bothered with this game. The Pistons are filled with high paid players but all they do is play Garbage Time which there was lots of today.

Wade was in foul trouble, but it didn't matter. Because there were 12 games being played today, and if you missed the Thunder vs. Nets game you really missed out.

Heat win, but OKC and NJ are going to DOUBLE OVERTIME !!!!

"The People Have Spoken":

The people didn't come out to vote, and this was the reason. We'll be watching tomorrow without a doubt though. Watch the hate. And we will see what's on everyone's mind: To powder or not to powder, that is the question?

Pre-Game Analysis:

And then there was 2…

The month of November is almost over, and CDTF can not believe how bad the Heat is playing. They are 2 losses away from accomplishing our goal and we are loving every minute of it. The Heat have two more games before they face the Cavs and CDTF is hoping either the Wiz or Pistons will bring this countdown to 1 for the EPIC return of the King.

Washington is coming off a tough loss at home against the Magic, and will want to play hard against this mediocre looking Heat team, but their road record speaks for itself 0-7. OUCH!

They've also had to deal with an unstable lineup not knowing whether their Super Rookie John Wall will be playing or not. In the end even if John Wall is playing Dwayne James and Chris Bosh are just too much for the Wizards to handle. Both teams have non-existent supporting casts and this game will be all about their stars.

CDTF Key Points

Agent 9 Factor - The former Agent 0 has come back with a Pow (no gun shots please). With Wall out for a few games, GilRenas has really stepped up. Will he factor into a Heat loss? He is only one man on a weak support cast :(

Wade shooting - Wade has been inconsistent either from the field or the line and it's really hurting the Heat's record. If he continues to shoot bad, the Wiz may have a chance.

Another Big Frontcourt opponent - Blatche and McGee have size and the Heat have shown they crumble when they face teams with a better frontcourt than them. CDTF hopes this factors into a Wiz win!

Our Prediction:

No J.Howard, A.Thornton, Yi. John Wall are you in our out? No Wall -> No Heat loss. If Wall plays, then the Wiz have a shot. We think the Heat will take this one. Lets just see how ugly this game gets!

Post Game Comments:

Hangnail!

The Heat beat the zzzZZZzzzZZzzz... Heat beat the Wiz. There was a lot of talking by the Heat after the loss to Dallas, and did it help? Probably not. It was the same old story for Miami. Heat Trio + not much else, they played lots of minutes, and took a lot of free throws.

Coach Spo is finally giving some minutes to Dampier and Juwan Howard, but still not enough to tell us that he trusts them. But Juwan did make the most of his time on the floor.

In the most exciting sequence of the game the scrubs started to melee with 33 seconds left in the 3rd quarter. Hilton Armstrong shoves Joel Anthony on an open dunk getting a flagrant 2, then comes Juwan "the Hitman" Howard to rough up Armstrong by shoving him in the back leading to his ejection.

The game ends in a blow out, Heat win, and I want 3 hrs of my life back.

"The People Have Spoken":

The people voted, and it was a resounding No. Wizards didn't really have a shot at winning this so we'll move on to the next game.

Pre-Game Analysis:

One thing's for sure… The Mavs are 'Heating' up

The Heat won a somewhat close one over the 76ers and move straight to Dallas to face the hot Mavs that just knocked off the best team in the NBA (Spurs). Again, the Heat are playing an elite Western team and that usually means the countdown goes down after the game. CDTF believes this is going to happen again. Both teams are playing back to back, but it's ok, the Mavs are playing at home and they are going to beat the Heat.

CDTF Key Points:

Who's going to stop Dirk? - Diggler has been on Fiah averaging 31 ppg over the last 4 games and don't expect the Heat to stop him. 30 points can be in his future. He has always played well against Bosh. Maybe the Heat will stir it up and play LeBron on him. Rap fans will remember that comeback game where VC was on Dirk and he couldn't score after that.

Bosh coming back home - Homecoming for Bosh and we all know he doesn't disappoint in Dallas. Playing well these last 6 games, Bosh vs. Dirk is pretty much going to be the story of this game. Big numbers for Bosh, but Dirk will outdo him. Book it!

Must win for the Spoelstra? - This is a big statement game for Spoelstra. Pull this win off and his job should be safe by Christmas. Does it really matter though? Can he coach this team to the promise land? No way, jose! Only borrowing time.

Our Prediction:

NO-WIT-NESS! Nowitzki and the Mavs are going to power this countdown to 2.. BOOK IT SON! Here's hoping the countdown will go to 1 before the Cavs game Dec 2!!! EPIC!

Post Game Comments:

A great game going into half time, but wow the Mavs really took it to the Heat in the 3rd. Dallas had strong contributions from almost everyone, and that was the end of it for the Heat.

Miami is falling into a horrible pattern of the big three plus no one else. Tonight the split between Wade and James, it's hard to tell who had the good game or bad game. The man formerly known as Flash, shot well from the field but was hurting at the line, while Lebron was the opposite. CB1 has a fairly good game today as well. Either way, for the Super Friends to win they need to be fully firing on all cylinders and the 12 turnovers that Lebron Wade threw out hurt them big time. All three also had to play huge minutes again, and this can only hurt them as the season moves along.

Erick Dampier who finally got off the bench today was a non-factor playing 8 minutes grabbing 1 board, and committing 1 foul.

MIAMI LOSES !!! The countdown is now 2 !!!

"The People Have Spoken":

Miami fans were voting making the vote was close today. In the end the vote gave the edge to the Mavericks, but this one wasn't in doubt. Currently at 2, we're hoping for an EPIC Heat vs. Cavs game that would seal it, but it'll be tough with Miami facing some light weights in the next two games.

Pre-Game Analysis:

!!! 3 !!!

We are reaching the final stages of our countdown, and it feels like almost any team can beat the Heat, even the Phil... maybe not. With no bench even before Haslem got injured, the big three are going to be forced to play big minutes even against the 76ers, but the 76ers are a mess. Elton Brand is back from a 1 game suspension so Philly will be at full strength, which is why we won't count them out completely. The game will be close and the Heat should pull away at the end, but here's hoping that none of that happens.

In our alternate universe prediction Philly will bring this game down to the wire, and Igoudala will knock down the game winner. The Miami fans will stay late to boo the Miami Thrice right out of the building, while Riley comes out to the court to fire Spoelstra. But then again, if it was an alternate universe, the countdown would probably be at 7 instead of 3 :p

CDTF Key Points:

The Big E - Dampier is finally with the Heat after much drama with the Rockets and Raptors, but didn't make it off the bench in his first game. He's being eased into the rotation, but 0 minutes is too easy and they may need to try relying on him ASAP. Still, he's not the solution Heat fans!

The Wrist - Is DWade's wrist healthy yet? He'll continue to help the team with other stats, but will he shoot Miami right out of this game. It's happened 2 games in a row, let's make it 3! 3 seems to be the key number today!

Are Spolestra's days numbered? - May very well be his last few games if things don't pick up. A win against Philly might keep him on the bench a few more games, but I don't see Spo lasting the entire season. Do you really think Riley will let this embarrassment of a team and coach happen after he thought he pulled off the biggest moves and deals of the entire history of the NBA?

Our Prediction:

Philly is really struggling this year as they are one of the worst teams in the Association. Heat will snap their 3 game losing streak. I'm sure Heat fans are blowing a sigh of relief to see the 76ers are coming to town! But then again, remember what happen last home game with the Pacers???? HMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!

Post Game Comments:

Hate to say it, but our Pre-Game Analysis was spot on. The big three played huge minutes, the first 3 quarters were close, but in the end Miami pulls away.

Miami actually played a terrible game with the Miami Thrice not shooting particularly well, but had a lot of help from their "point guard" Carlos Arroyo. The reason Miami was able to pull this game off was because Philly is really that big of a mess.

No. 2 draft pick Evan Turner continues to start but not know his role on the team. The rest of the starters except Andre Iggy were building a house with all the bricks they tossed up. Luckily the bench came to play which is why this wasn't a 4 quarter laugher.

The 76ers really couldn't be expected to do much more than this, and until their youth gain some consistency or they make some trades they'll stay as one of the whipping boys in the league. Heat win, until tomorrow when they play the Mavs at home.

"The People Have Spoken":

There was strong support for the 76ers, but the majority voted Miami win and were right. The Miami Super Friends end their losing streak at 3, but tomorrow's game against Dallas is a guaranteed loss and you can book it. We're counting down to 2 tomorrow, come back to see it.

Heat looking desperate… Sign Damp before Orlando Re-Match

The Heat go on the road again after a mega blowout at home against the Pacers. The Heat faced the Magic earlier this season and didn't have to break a sweet. Will this happen in the Magic Kingdom? CDTF hopes not. The Heat are a bit different now that they don't have Haslem anymore. Yes, they are about to Sign Dampier to help strengthen the front court now that we know Haslem is going to be out for a while, but really.. the key problems are not being addressed here. 3 stars with no support cast cannot win championships. You saw this in Milwaukee (Big Dog, Ray Ray, SAM I AM) and in Washington (Agent 0, Butler, Jam). The only reason why Boston won was because they had a good supporting cast around KG, Ray Ray, and the Truth (Thank you RONDO, POSEY, T.Allen, i guess Perkins). Anyways, the Heat will learn the hard way that they will eventually have to get rid of one of the Miami Thrice in order to win, or go over the salary cap to get better role players.

CDTF Key Points:

Is Damp going to play? - Damp is on the verge of signing, but even if he plays, i'm sure there is rust. D12 is picking it up so look for him to steam roll over Big Z and Bosh, or foul them out of the game. Another strong outing for Howard. Book It!

Where's the help? - The Heat bench only scored 4 points against the Pacers and you ain't winning many games with that kind of help from the 2nd unit. VC and Lewis are showing their age and have faded slowly, but the Magic's bench is way better than the Heat, so advantage Magic!

Wade not looking so 'Flash' like these days - Wrist bothering you still Flash? Not looking so Fast these days. Poor shooting games have lead to Miami Losses, so if Wade can bounce back and play like he did against TO, advantage Heat!

Our Prediction:

Do you believe in Magic? CDTF does! Magic all the way! COUNTDOWN TO FAILURE TO 3?!?!?! We will see!

Post Game Comments:

Holy Macaroni! The Heat have lost 3 straight and it's time to pack your bags Spolestra

The Heat tried their best to make it 2-0 against their South State rivals, but it wasn't good enough, cause THEY LOST!!!!! WOOOOO!!! The Heat were outmatched pretty much the entire game, but they did make it close in the 4th quarter. However, the magic had enough and put the nail in the coffin. I think Nelson got too excited with the win and picked up two techs! Eddie House did a lot of trash talking, but really, if you can't take the Trash Talking Heat, then don't play for the Heat loser!

I must say though, Bosh has really been picking up his game, while D-Wade looks like he's been really taking a turn for the worse with poor percentage shooting games and a bum wrist. I wonder how much of an impact Damp will be... No matter, It's over Miami! Do the right thing Riley. Fire Spoelstra and trade away the King! Until next time... Keep on losing Heat!

"The People Have Spoken":

Heavily favoured by the votes, the Magic totally pulled off that amazing win over the Heat. The COUNTDOWN IS AT 3 and the HEAT have no answer for stopping their countdown to failure from hitting 0 now! What chu going to do now Riley? What chu going to do brother!

Ship is sinking (well half way there)

The Heat come back home after a heartbreaking buzzer beater by Rudy Gay. Oh how sweet it was for Miami Heat Haters. Let's see if the Pacers can shoot another hole in the ship to make it sink even further.

Wade missed his first game of the season and I would say it hurt the Heat dearly. I was shocked that Z-Bo and Mayo didn't start and that should have given the Heat the advantage early. I guess not. So sad... Yet again, did Riley make a mistake in signing three max contracts instead of 2 max + 2-3 role players??? Anyways, the Pacers are in town and they could be an easy target for the Heat

CDTF Key Points

Injuries galore - Looks like both teams are wounded here. Wade will probably be back, but I don't see Haslem playing after being taken off the court. The Pacers are without Collison, their prized acquisition during the off season. Which injury will hurt more. I'm guessing the heat because Haslem has been amazing off the bench.

The Incredible Hibbert - Hibbert has had a breakout year and it won't stop Monday. Big Z and Bosh can't contain him so "Bring on the Pain". CDTF is looking forward to Hibbert having a monster game D and O.

Can the Heat bounce back? - Tough loss on Saturday so can the Heat bounce back? They must have cried after that loss and let's hope it continues to Monday.

Our Prediction:

The Pacers have been a decent team this season, but the Heat may be too much for them. I see a close game in the first three quarters, and then the Heat will pull away. Let's hope we are wrong.

Post Game Comments:

The Pacers slammed down the Heat with what was a fairly average performance. All the damage was done in the 2nd quarter and the rest of the game was rather uninspired.

The Heat and Pacers were both able to bring back a key player from injury, Wade and Collison, but they ended up canceling each other out with terrible performances. Wade had one of his worst scoring games of his career netting 3 pts on 1-13 from the field and 1-5 from the line, showing he was probably not ready to come back yet.

Lebron and Bosh both had decent outtings but definately not enough with an M.I.A. Wade. On top of Wade's stinker, the killer for the Heat was really the battle of the benches, or lack there of. Haslem who's an immediate presence when he comes in off the bench was greatly missed. Indiana's benched destroyed Miami's 40-4. This is very well a sign of things to come, and even when Mike Miller comes back he'll be in a transition period where he'll need to get up to speed and mesh with the non-existent chemistry on this team.

The cherry on top came at the end of this game when it got so bad the Heat had the Boo-birds serenade them while they jacked up bricks on the way to a Garbage Time BLOW OUT. Guess this is a game where they'd rather not have their fans "stay late". Miami, YOU LOSE !!!

"The People Have Spoken":

We all overwhelmingly thought the Super Friends, with or without Wade and without Haslem, would have had the stuff to put down the Pacers, but I'm glad to say we were wrong. PACERS WIN !!! And after 14 games into this very young season, Miami has 6 loses bringing the countdown to !!! FOUR !!!.

Pre-Game Analysis:

Memphis is coming off a very tough loss against the Wall-less Wiz. I wonder if they miss Pau right about now. Pau is having an MVP start to the season, while his brother Marc, is well, not Pau. I wonder if cutting his hair had to do something about that.... (Hello Chris Bosh). What the Griz do have that have caused The Heat lots of problems is a strong front court presence. Z-Bo and Marc are no push over so I would seriously get ready for them (Bosh and Big Z). The Heat are looking to win 3 in a row, but embark on a weird 1 game away then back in Miami, until the end of the month. That's a lot of traveling after the 6 game home stand. I wonder how this will affect them.

CDTF Key Points:

Front court power advantage to Memphis? - Memphis is no slouch when it comes to the C and PF. Both Z-Bo and Marc can rebound, play hard nose D, and stop most players every night. I don't see Bosh having a good game 3 games in a row. Big-Z? Who cares about him, he's just useless.

Will Gay, Conley and Mayo show up? - If these three guys click + Z-Bo and Marc have a good defensive game, I can see the Heat crying and probably not saying that they need to 'Chill'.

2nd unit help? - Haslem and Jones have emerged as the 2 more reliable benchers on the Heat, but The Grizz don't really have a 2nd unit themselves. Look for the team with the better 2nd unit to really dictate how this game will end.

Our Prediction:

Game in Memphis, Stronger front court of Memphis. I'm going with the Grizz tonight :) You need to Chill Bosh. You can't have great nights every night when you're the third wheel

Post Game Comments:

Correct Result, but not as I expected

The Grizz brought the countdown to 5 after a buzzer beater by Gay over LBJ sent the Heat packing back to Miami with a loss. I didn't expect Wade to not play and Z-Bo and Mayo to not start. In the end, the Grizz overcame the Heat Hype and crushed their hopes of winning 4 in a row. OH YEAH.. HASLEM got hurt too... Looks like the cookies are crumbling now!

So tonight we saw what it would be like if one of the Miami Thrice would be out with an injury. Wade got hurt and James/Bosh had to pick up the slack. I must say, they did fairly well, combing for 49 points. Looks like Bosh is starting to get into a groove too, but i'm sure if Wade was in this game, it woulda been a different story for him. So, the first game with 2/3 members and it was a loss. Are we going to see more of this in the future? HMM?!??!?! Pat Riley creeping closer to the bench????

Awesome to see the Heat lose, esp on a buzzer beater. Great job Memphis... The Heat are now 2-3 against the WEST! OUCH... It's going to be a long, long season Miami!

"The People Have Spoken":

Not much voting, but that was probably due to the back to back game. In the end, Yes was the answer and it was right! Awesome! Truly awesome! COUNTDOWN TO 5!

Pre-Game Analysis:

Coming off an impressive win over the Suns, the Heat finish their 6 game home stretch with a matchup against the Bobcats. We saw Bosh show the Miami faithful and trash talkers that he can still play like when he was with the Raptors pouring in a season high 35 points in only 3 quarters. If the Heat weren't blowing out the Suns, he probably could have gotten 40+. Anyways, don't let that performance fool you. Look at who was defending him. Dancing Hedo, Warrick, maybe Frye? Players who are undersized and don't match up well against big men like Bosh. Losing Lopez hurt, but lets give Bosh an applause for actually showing up. Still can't rebound like he use to. Maybe it's time to grow the dreads back! Moving onto the game, I don't expect Bosh to reach 20 with the Bobcats, since their front court D is much better than the Suns. Let's look at the keys.

CDTF Key Points:

Who Wants It More??? - The Bobcats have a lot of gritty players like Wallace and Action Jackson, so it could be a feisty game with a lot of hard fouls and maybe even some pushing and shoving. We all know Jackson doesn't take crap from anyone. Remember the brawl in MoTown?

Quality Shoots - Dwayne James have been pretty selective with their 3 point shooting lately. We all know they like to jack up the 3, esp Lebron, but lately, it hasn't happened, and it's been pretty effective. On the flip side, the Bobcats love to jack the 3 so like the Suns, if the Bobcats can knock a few more 3s than the Heat, will it help them win?

MJ Presence - Will MJ be in town to watch the Miami Thrice? Maybe his courtside jibber jabber will distract the Heat and cause them to bow down and let his team win. Here's hoping!

Our Prediction:

Looking for a Bobcats upset, but it probably won't happen. Heat win... SIGH!

Post Game Comments:

Sometimes, emotions losses the game for you. In this case, it happened to the Bobcats. Wallace drew a technical late in a close game and it pretty much sealed it for the Heat. As any coach would say, never give free points to another team. The Bobcats were close only because Action Jackson wanted this win bad. Too bad no one else on his team did. As the Heat would say, great effort guys, but we beat you in the end.

Bosh had another impressive game finally showing that, maybe he hasn't lost his rebounding touch. Maybe he didn't cut his hair or grew his beard a bit longer, cause it seems like ever since he cut those dreads, he's forgotten how to rebound.

In any case, the Heat will go on the road to battle the Grizz tomorrow. No resting for them. Let's hope this will cause a Heat loss on the Road.

"The People Have Spoken":

As much as we want to be right all the time, we want to be right when the Heat lose. Not in this case, but good job everyone.

The poll has ended.

Pre-Game Analysis:

After 10 games, the Heat have compiled a record of 6-4. I'm pretty sure the "Miami Thrice" didn't think they would be close to a .500 club after 10 games. Heck, they thought they were going to win 82 games (Hornets are well on their way to doing that). Anyways, the Heat are at the tale end of their 6 game home stand and they face yet another tough West opponent in the Suns. Steve Nash will come to town and hopefully not distracted from the birth of his new child and divorce claims (How sad). The Suns, like the Raptors are looking like they really miss their All-Star PF Amar'e Stoudemire, but the Suns are still an elite West team. The Heat have had problems with any Elite team and they shouldn't take the Suns lightly. The Run and Gun West teams will really give Miami's defense a huge test. Can the Heat run with them or get blown away.

CDTF Key Points:

Another Elite PG - The Heat have had so many problems with Elite Point Guards and guess what, Nash is one of the best and for sure a Hall Of Famer. Look for the 2 time MVP to drop dimes like Rondo is doing this year (Amazing) and control this game's tempo. The Heat should think about moving LeBron to PG to neutralize this threat.

Weak Front Court for both teams - Both the Heat and Suns have weak players up front, which usually means advantage Heat. Bosh has looked really lost on the court and has had problems finding his rebounding numbers he had in TO. Bosh needs to either commit on D or go all out on O, but we all know back in TO, he couldn't play D. Just ask Kevin Garnett :) This dude is way to Soft!

Miami Heat Lineup Shakeup - We saw Big Z start over Joel against the Raptors, so will Spolestra make more changes on Wednesday? Experts have been saying LeBron should replace Arroyo at PG and maybe move a James Jones or Haslem into the Starting 5. Once Miller comes back, I totally see Miller in and Arroyo out.

Our Prediction:

Each team is fully capable in scoring over 100 points. Look for this game to be a big shootout with little defense.. In the end, I'm looking for a Suns win, a Heat lose and a countdown of 5. Hopefully we will see more crying and down images of the Miami Thrice on Basketbawful. Looking forward to it. HEAT IS GOING DOWN!

Post Game Comments:

Another game won from the first bucket, but the first quarter was competitive. Heat would go up, then Suns would come back with a few of their runs, but that was the end of what started out to be a good game. In the 2nd quarter the Miami came out full throttle led by the disappearing man Chris Bosh who did not play "LIKE A BOSH" (I blame TBJ for motivating him into today's performance). After that the rest of the game was Garbage Time !!!

Phoenix's stars all had off games. Nash only collected 20 cents on 2 dimes, JRich was missing from all areas of the court, and Hedo was being Hedo.

CB1 got matched up against a defenseless Hedo and tore up the court with 35 pts on 12-17 on the field and 11-11 on the line, 6 rebs, 4 asts, 1 stl. Lebron puts together another almost triple double night, and Wade was allowed to coast through this game.

Miami Thrice and friends blow the Suns out of the water. The next few games are favorable for the Super Friends so the countdown may be in a holding pattern for a while, but upsets are bound to happen.

"The People Have Spoken":

The vote was in favor of the Suns, not exactly overwhelmingly, but ouch were we wrong on this one. You've won this round Miami.

Pre-Game Analysis:

Trouble in South Beach... Heat look soft! OH NO!

The Heat have lost 2 in a row and have pushed the countdown to 6. Most people didn't expect this number to be this low after 10 games, just ask Bosh. "There's no need to be frustrated. We're nine games into the season and we can't play perfect basketball right off the bat. We're up against a lot." Stop crying Bosh, you guys put this on yourselves when you were parading as if you had won the championship already. The Heat host the Raptors, after a most impressive victory over the Magic. Bosh looks to show his ex team how much they miss him. Although Bosh has been struggling to find his game or his role on the revamped Miami Heat team, but maybe facing his old mates and laying the smack down on them will fire up his game. CDTF hopes not. If they can shock the Magic, they can shock the Heat

CDTF Key Points:

CB1 vs. His Old Team - Bosh hopes Colangelo will be in the house so he can show how much he will miss him in T.O. Did Bosh quit? Only he will know, but he won't be quitting on destroying his old team. Look for Bosh to suck the magic out of Bargnani, though Reggie Evans could pose a huge hurdle on the Offensive end. Remember, Bosh said that he was glad Evans was on his side last year, because he hated facing him.

Bounce back game for Wade - Wade had a very poor outing against the Celtics only shooting 2-12 from the field and gave the ball away 6 times. Wade has always had a good track record against the Raps and don't expect anyone the Raps put on him to stop Flash. 20+ ppg coming Wade's way.

Raptors 3pt streak - The Raptors are known to shoot the long ball. Just look at their amazing 951 game with at least 1 3pt made. If the Raptors can out shoot the Heat, maybe, just maybe they will have a chance. But guess what, Raptors don't play D, so maybe if they score 20 3pts, this game will be close.

Our Prediction:

After that amazing win over the Magic, can the Craptors pull off another stunner and beat the Heat? Probably not, but here's praying... Heat should take this one... SHOULD!

Post Game Comments:

Yawn... The Raptors magic disappeared and we saw the same old crap we've become used to seeing. But then again Orlando hasn't been playing like a top team this season and almost lost again against the Nets. The game was over after the first bucket and it wasn't much of a surprise. The first half Miami came to play, but lost interest in the second half against the lowly Raptors letting them cut the lead a couple of times.

Bargnani came out stuck in a block of ice shooting an ice cold 4-13 in the first half and finished 8-23. Toronto had some hot hands in DeRozan, Weems, Amir, and Jose which is why they didn't get completely blown out. Also, the non-existant front court of the Raps was still enough to put the hurt on the non-existant front court of the Heat. But this was another forgettable snoozer.

Wade had the hot hand today, Lebron had a good game but with bad shooting, and Bosh who we thought might have a strong game against his former team, ended up being in foul trouble the entire time and finished with another lame duck game. To note, James must be fuming because he had to play 39 minutes to beat the Craptors.

The countdown remains at 6, but we weren't really expecting it to go anywhere today.

"The People Have Spoken":

The vote started to move up for TO after yesterday's upset, but I'm sorry for the Raptors fans, because your team is the Toronto Raptors. Heat win (your next loss will have to wait for another day).

Pre-Game Analysis:

THE REMATCH!!!

Game 2 for Boston and Miami where Miami will be looking to avenge their 1st loss of the season and will have the home court advantage this time around.  Both teams are coming off tough heart breaking loses and will be coming out with a lot of energy to vent their frustrations.

CDTF Key Points:

RONDOOOOooo - So far, the elite point guards have had their way with this Heat team, and Rondo has been amazing at the point averaging a beastly 14.8 dimes a game. Arroyo or Chalmers couldn't do that combined per game. When will LeBron say enough is enough, it's time to play PG permanently

The old 3 vs. The new 3 -  The old three are yes, "OLD", but have come into this season with a youthful rejuvenation and looking healthy. The new 3 have LeWade starting to mesh as both get closer to having big games in the same night, while Bosh is still clueless and is putting up numbers resembling his rookie season. I don't think Bosh's talk with LeBron helped that much, but I'm seeing that the Heat are going to him early in the game to get him going. The key here is that "The Old 3" have chemistry, while "The New 3" have huge money contracts.

Defense -  Like game 1, this game will come down to slowing the pace and hard nosed D.  Miami will need to try and speed things up against Boston and play some tight D in order to pull it off. It will be interesting if both O'Neals don't play this game because they do pose a huge problem for the Heat anywhere on the court.

Our Prediction:

If Shaq is healthy to return, then the Celtics should steamroll over the Heat with no problems. If Shaq or JO are not ready to play, then look for this game to be very, very tight like the Jazz game. In the end, the Celtics are our pick on Thursday. Erik Spoelstra seems to not understand how to utilize his team to the fullest yet. CDTF still believes that Riley should have signed Wade and Bosh and used LeBron's money to sign 2-3 good role players. Then the Heat would have been a force that could break the Bulls record.

The countdown to 6!!!!! Show your support!

Post Game Comments:

Miami was luke warm tonight, while the Celtics had all pistons going. Ray Allen and Paul Pierce flicked the switch to automatic and poured the bucket in on Miami. Rondo continues to be a menance in the assists category, and KG played a solid game.

DWade forgot to show up to the game today, so it was Lebron's turn to be the man almost putting up another triple double. Chris Bosh showed a flash of his former self in the second quarter scoring 9 but continues to watch too much of that good cable tv to figure out what he needs to find his game.

So experience once again prevails. The old 3 + Rondo run over the Heat. The Celtics came in angry and the Heat didn't seem to care. Miami made a nice little run at the end of the game but Boston took this right from the 1st bucket and never looked back. Spoelstra's inexperience as a coach really shows, once again not knowing what to do against an experienced team and having no game plan to play against their weaknesses (teams with good PGs and any team that actually has a front court). After an unmotivating half time speech along with a lack of adjustments it seems like all that Pat Riley take over talk recently may come true sooner rather than later, and we may need to start keeping track of how many loses before Spoelstra's a goner.

Mr. Jeff Van Gundy, the Miami Heat are a very unspectacular 5-4 on the season, and we move the countdown to 6!

"The People Have Spoken":

Thanks for everyone who voted, this game's outcome was just like the vote. A comfortable Boston win. !!! SIX BABY !!! almost half way there.

Pre-Game Analysis:

Miami Heat... Please meet the next team that's probably going to take you down to 7... The "UUUUUUTAAAHHH JAZZZZZZ"...

Another tough match is coming this tuesday as the Jazz come to South Beach after a very impressive OT win over the LA Clippers where they were 18 down at one point in the game. The Jazz will find that if they are down big against the Heat, they will have a much more difficult time getting back into the game.

The Heat will face a very tough Western opponent in the Jazz and I can see a very, very good matchup and basketball game this Tuesday. Probably one of the must watch games of that day, so DON'T MISS IT!

CDTF Key Points:

Miami Thrice vs. Millsap/AK47/Jefferson : The Miami Thrice will see yet another team who has almost equal talent as them. I didn't even include D.Will in that group, so the Miami Thrice are really going to have to work hard against the defensive minded Utah Jazz. Did i also mention that those three Jazz players can really clean up the glass and score in bunches.. I'm shocked the Jazz are 3-3 to start the season. I don't see Bosh being affective at all again and look for James & Wade to apply pressure early, so they may take some really desperate shots and not shoot well

D.Williams vs. Miami's PG : Miami's PGs are so bad they should just use LeBron as their starting 1 guard. D.Will will have a very, very nice day :) Fantasy owners, raise the roof!

Will James Jones light it up? : Jones has cooled off a bit these last 2 games, but i can see him getting a lot of open looks on tuesday.. Maybe 3-4 3's are in his future on tuesday? We shall see

Our Prediction:

Heat have the advantage playing at home. Being unbeaten so far in the young season, look for an exciting game that I see going down the wire... Utah Jazz FTW on the last shot.. Maybe a buzzer beater by D.Will???? HEAT ARE GOING DOWN WITH THE COUNTDOWN

Post Game Comments:

OH EM GEE!!! WHAT A GAME TO WATCH!!!

The Jazz started this game looking like they didn't even know what they where doing. A completely clueless first half that ended 32-51 with the Heat just dominating the game. In the 3rd Utah put down a strong quarter scoring 30 and take the lead down to 13 pts. And then let the madness begin. In the first 6 minutes of the 4th quarter led by C.J. Miles and D.Will Utah steamrolls the Heat with a 19-4 run to take their first lead since the 1st quarter. The Heat then gather their composure and strike back with a 9-0 run of their own and as we fast forward to 37.3 seconds left in the game Heat are up 8 pts with victory in their hands. Don't tell this to Paul Millsap, because in these last 37.3 he was a man possessed. Already having thrown down a monstrous game so far he goes ahead knocks down three 3s (this man has only made two 3s in his entire career before this) and tosses in the game tying buzzer beating put back. OVERTIME !!! OT wasn't any less exciting and the game was tied with 17.5 seconds left to go. Utah ball, Wade commits a terrible foul with 0.4 left in the game and Miami loses on free throws.

D-Wade came out to play scoring 39, with 6 rebs, 1 ast, 1 stl. LBJ didn't have a great shooting night but notched his 29th career triple double in the process. Bosh came out with another average game.

For the Jazz D.Will and AK47 put down strong games, but the man of the hour was Millsap. 46 pts on 19-28 from the field, 9 boards, 1 ast, 1 stl, 1 blk, and 3 miraculous 3s.

Miami, you're now down to 7. Maybe we should have started a countdown for the LA Lakers 'cause they are off to an 8-0 start, which everyone thought the Heat would be at right now.

"The People Have Spoken":

"UUUUUUTAAAHHH JAZZZZZZ"... The vote turnout wasn't great but like this game it was close and the Jazz pulled a rabbit out of a hat on this one.

Pre-Game Analysis:

OMG. The Heat lost and the countdown is at 8 :). The Heat don't have time to take a breather as they come back to South Beach to play their 3rd game at Home. The Heat are 2-0 at home and are looking to get back in the winning column, but I don't see that loss column going up against the Nets who were destroyed by the Heat the last time they met.

The good news for the Nets is that Troy Murphy is back so that will help a bit, but OMG, they will need a prayer to even stand a chance to beating the Heat. At least they can make the game close and give themselves a chance to win, but it will be difficult, esp with them playing in South Beach.

Key Matchups:

Lopez/Murphy vs. Anthony/Bosh - Murphy is back.. Hurray... That just means Bosh is going to have to come out and cover those threes while Lopez terrorizes Anthony in the paint. If Murphy can get his game back in time for this game, maybe something special will happen. Bosh had one of his better shooting games last time. Expect that to repeat.

LeWade's Balanced attack - Can Wade and LeBron combine for another balance attack to defeat their opponents early? They have been doing very good with sharing the ball and scoring equally. If that continues, the Nets and most NBA teams don't have a prayer. They could play 3 on 5 and do well.

Our Prediction:

HEAT!!!! BOOO Hate saying the Heat will win, but I don't see the Nets having a prayer. Could 7 be a lucky number for the Nets? We will see.

Post Game Comments:

What can you say... The Nets are just no match for the Heat. The Miami Thrice scored 20+ each which is pretty impressive for any big 3 on any NBA team.

The Heat will be facing a few tough opponents starting next week as they continue their 6 game home stand. The Utah Jazz roll into South Beach and this is going to be another big test for them. It will be interesting to see how the Heat handles the fast pace West teams. Good thing they are not in the West.

Check back on Tuesday to see if the countdown goes to 7!! PEACE!

"The People Have Spoken":

Pre-Game Analysis:

The Hornets are on a roll and will be heading into this game on a 4 game win streak, having faced some tough opponents along the way (nuggets, spurs, rockets).

The Miami Thrice are also bringing in their own 4 game win streak albeit against mostly teams that aren't expected to do anything this year.

Will this be a glimpse for CP3 on what he might be missing out? Does this game push him towards creating his own team of Super Friends? Only time will tell.

Key Match-ups:

CP3 vs. Arroyo – CP3 will have anything he wants, but look for the Heat to try and mix it up against Paul on D

D.West vs. Bosh – David West has been dominate against opponents so far, and we don’t see that changing much for this game either

Dwayne James vs. the rest – So far the dynamic duo have averaged 43 pts against opponents, so looks like we should see more of the same

Our Prediction:

Two teams looking to break one another's streaks, and star players from both teams looking to make a statement. The game is at home for NO so we're giving them the edge. Go HORNETS !!!

Post Game Comments:

The big three again showed us what they previously have before. Dwayne James did their thing, while Chris Bosh again shows us that he's just a third banana and maybe why they should be called "Two and a Half Men" instead.

CP3 was spectacular and showed us again today why he's a must see player in the NBA. He orchestrated the offense beautifully getting the ball down low, hitting the open man, and pushing the fast breaks finishing with an amazing 19 dimes. Meka was the biggest benifactor and finished with a monsterous game tearing the Miami "bigs" apart with 26 and 13.

The Hornets were able to weather the Miami 3rd quarter storm we've seen in the previous 5 games, but the Heat made a 4th quarter push led by Wade and the game came down to the wire for a fantastic finish.

Hornets edge this one out on home court as we predicted taking the Heat to 2 loses.

The streak NO is on is no fluke and they should be a team beat all season long.

"The People Have Spoken":

Pre-Game Analysis:

Miami Heat to Michael Beasley... SUCKA!!!!!

Beasley faces his old team on his new home turf and boy does that team look totally different since he was rolling with Wade and gang. The Wolves, who are just like the Nets have a young nucleus, but only have one true star in Kevin Love. Sure they got some role players like Ridnour, Beasley, ummm... Darko?? But let's face it.. This is yet another mismatch that I don't think the Wolves can find their sling shots to slay the Goliath. Heck, maybe Wesley Johnson can drop 30 that night with the game winning shot and go "I own you Miami Heat"... Here's praying for that result :)

Key Match-ups:

Kevin Love vs. Chris Bosh - Bosh hasn't found his A game yet, but will he ever as the 3rd scoring option on this team? If this was TO, he'd have his way against Love, but look for Love to fill up the stats a la "Matrix" style.

LeWade vs. Wayne Ellington/Beasley/Brewer/Johnson - Wayne Who? Seriously, any combo from this group is a mismatch.

Good Luck Minni.. You'll need it... Here's hoping Wade's hammy acts up again :O

Our Prediction:

Again, the Heat face another team with no super star (maybe Kevin Love, but that's a stretch). 3 Super Heros vs. none on 1 team seems kinda unfair. The only advantage I see the Wolves having in this contest is home court, but I wonder how many ppl go out to watch their Wolves since KG left town. Sad to say this, but look for the Heat to yet again win and make it 4 in a row... Please prove me wrong Minni!

Post Game Comments:

Yet another no contest as the Timberwolves laid down and let the Miami Heat steam roll them to a 97-129 victory. The Miami Thrice were no surprise tonight, but what amazed me was the bench. The bench combined to score 58 points, but we can probably chalk up that high total because of the blow out. James Jones has really given the Heat a nice spark off the bench as his 3 point touch has flamed team after team he faces... Let's hope for our countdown sake that someone from the other team gets a fire extinguisher and take out the flames.

Sad to say that the countdown has not moved down since day 1.. BOOOOO... As much as I want the heat to lose every game, they are better than most teams in the NBA talent wise... It will catch up to them. There are things called "Injuries"... Ask Boston how it felt to not have KG for their second run at the title... If one of the Miami Thrice goes down, esp Wade or LeBron, It's over.. Sorry Bosh, but Haslem can replace you with ease and no one would really notice.

"The People Have Spoken":

Chalk another victory for us as we both got it right. As much as I want to vote for the Miami Heat to lose every game, I need to be realistic here. Next game is on Friday vs the Hola (New Orleans Hornets) so we've got three days to really get those votes in. Hopefully CP3 will run circles around everyone and pour in 50 :)

The poll has ended.

Pre-Game Analysis:

The Heat are back on the road and will go to the Swamp to face the revamped Nets. The Nets are looking to remain unbeaten, while the Heat try to go for 3 in a row. The Nets are like the Heat as they have several new players that are trying to adjust and gel with each other. Though the Nets do not have the same fire power as the Heat does, they still have a nice young core that could do damage to any team on any given night.

The Heat made a bold statement by laying the smackdown on their Sun Shine state neighbours the Orlando Magic. Though the Miami Thrice haven't really gelled with each other and their teammates, they could have a field day with the less talented Nets. They still haven't shown they can dominate in the paint, and if they have a bad shooting night, they will lose to opponents that are expected to lose to them.

Key Matchups:

Brook Lopez vs. The Miami Front court - Like D12, Lopez will have a field day. Fantasy Basketball owners should be smiling to see him face a weak Miami Front court.

Devin Harris vs. Arroyo/Chalmers - Harris has bounced back and looks great in the first two games. The Heat have 2 problems and this is the second one. They don't have a PG. Harris should continue his strong start.

Miami Thrice vs. Whoever the Nets got on them - Look for Bosh to have a strong game, while Wade or LeBron will be the start once again.

Our Prediction:

The Nets could edge out the Heat on Sunday, but they must play a flawless game. Lopez and Harris will get their stats, but who else will step in. If Murphy was back, the Nets would have a higher chance. Look for the Heat to make it 3 in a row.

Post Game Comments:

The Heat showed a balance attack can be an effective one. The Nets were no match for the "Miami Thrice", as Bosh, Wade, and LeBron all scored 17-20 points, while Wade and LeBron distributed the ball evenly. Brook Lopez showed up to play, while Harris played well, but could have done more. In the end, nothing could have helped the Nets beat the Heat.

It will be interesting to see if the Heat can continue to throw out a balanced attack like this game on more quality opponents like the Celtics, Magic, or the dominate West teams (Pretty much 9-10 of them). We will find out soon as the Heat will face 6/14 West teams in the month of November... Will this be a November to Remember in a good or bad way? Time will tell, but it will be a test for the Heat to see if they can truly keep pace on their quest to dethrone the 95-96 Bull's 72 win record. We still don't think it will happen :) So Let's continue to tell the Heat that it ain't happening.

BTW, LOVE THE TURNOVER COUNT LeBron... 5 today... Many more in your Heat future!

"The People Have Spoken":

Not many votes today, but the majority did say a win for the Heat and they did just that. We predicted right as well so we are both 3 for 4. Keep it going people! The Heat play Tuesday against their first West opponent of the season.

Pre-Game Analysis:

Miami is faced with a very big test again as they face the Orlando Magic. Lots of trash talk has been done all through the off-season by Stan Van Gundy, Otis Smith, and Pat Riley. Will the Super Friends have what is takes to take down Superman and the Orlando Magic, or will we be counting down to number 8.

Key Match ups:

D12 vs Joel Anthony, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Juwan Howard - Dwight should have a field day against Miami's front court. Even if they put Bosh on him, the "RuPaul Of Basketball Big Men" can't handle him.

LeBron/Wade vs. Lewis/VC - The new vs. the old. VC and Lewis will have tons of problems handling the young legs of LeBron and Wade. I see big numbers for these two.

Nelson vs. Arroyo - If Nelson can show his old self, Arroyo will be at a big mismatch here.

Our Prediction:

D12 is going to have a field day against the Heat. LeBron and Wade should pick up the slack, but it won't be enough. Orlando FOR THE WIN!

Post Game Comments:

OUCH!!

The Miami Heat blew the Orlando Magic out of South Beach with a strong 3rd quarter 14-0 run and they never looked back. To be honest, I think the Magic was just tired from their game last night.

Superman did what we thought he would do and dominate the Heat Centers, but his teammates didn't show up. Wade was the star tonight as he led the Heat with 26 points. LeBron continued to add to his TO count and Bosh once again struggled to find his scoring touch he had in Toronto.

YOU WON'T BE SO LUCKY NEXT TIME YOU FACE THE MAGIC... D12 will be even hungrier and will eat you guys ALIVE!!!!

"The People Have Spoken":

We totally got whacked with our prediction and votes tonight. The People are 2/3 which is not bad.. but damn, we are tied with the Heat's record. We'll get them next game!! THE HEAT WILL NOT BREAK THE RECORD!

Our Prediction:

As much as I want to see Miami lose, the 76ers don't have the guns to stay with them.

Post Game Comments:

The Heat bounce back from their tough loss against the Celtics and defeat the 76ers by 10. This time, it was Wade doing the scoring, pouring in 30, while sniper James Jones dropped 6 treys. WOW! Who needs Mike Miller when you got that hot hand

The Countdown remains at 9, but it can easily go down to 8 on Friday, when the battle of the Florida teams go head to head in South Beach.

"The People Have Spoken":

So, you guys and gals voted "NO" and were right again. That's 2/2.. Good job. At least somebody has a chance to go 82-0 this year on Miami Heat game result predictions. Let's keep it rolling starting tomorrow until game time Friday.

OH EM GEE!!!! The HEAT LOST THEIR FIRST GAME!!!

What a great start for our countdown. The Heat only score 9 points in their first every quarter with the "Miami Thrice". LeBron made it interesting, but it wasn't enough.

First game and the countdown is already down to 9. Are the Heat the team to beat in the East? Rondo says the Celtics are. I agree.

Bosh looked flat and Wade seem to have some rust from missing most of the preseason. Barkley said it best with two key points. 1) The Heat have no inside presence and 2) They need a better PG than Arroyo and need to play a faster pace game.

What are you going to do now Riley? Fire the coach and Coach yourself like what you did to Stan Van Gundy? The Heat look to push the Countdown to 8 tomorrow night vs the 76ers.

"The People Have Spoken":

"YES" was the majority pick and it was right. 1/1.. Good job everyone. Let's make it 2/2 tomorrow.
